  • 5/7 Roll Call

    Good morning STACers. Another day. I've noticed that if I over eat anything, or stray into eating a bit too much, I feel bad about it. That is a good thing, because the pain and remorse is something I then have to carry around and I don't like that.
    Yesterday I wore shorts I could not fit into for a while, that means I am slowly loosing weight. I like that idea. But for me the bigger picture is where I've got to keep my eyes, the sustaining a way of eating that will cause me to maintain this way of eating and lifestyle! Such a key.
    I can loose weight, it's keeping myself on the plan that is the hard part!

    Good morning all!

    Jess- seems like you have maintained for a while. Life is ebbs and flows and so will be our weight, up and little and down a little. One day at a time with the diet like anything else, that's my motto.

    It's 5:30am here on the west coast. I've been up reviewing for my first final for about 2 hours now. I'm nervous, this is the most challenging class for me out of the three and to get this one over first is good but my nerves are racked right now.

    Anyway, thought I'd spend a little time on the board posting as this is a peaceful distraction for me. Back to it, though.......

      Good Morning everyone Happy Wednesday!!!!!! I am on day 10 of back to basics and it feels so good ........ I love the simplicity of induction and the amazing feeling of being in ketosis! I lost that for awhile and it feels good to be back where I belong!

        Good morning, all! It's been awhile since I've checked in to roll call. I decided last night that it's about time that I got back to basics and held myself accountable again! I'm already feeling better just by making that commitment!

        This morning I made sure I got up early and cooked hamburgers and veggies for my lunch, then packed good snacks for the day at school. I am NOT going to the teacher's lounge - too many temptations! It's going to be a beautiful day, so I think I'll take a walk during lunch, instead!

        Jess - I'm happy to come back and "see" you again. Your posts always make me think - and that's good!

        Karyn - Good luck on your final! I remember those days! In fact, I'll be finishing up my Master's next spring. You'll do a great job!

            I am in for another atkins kind of day! Was starting to put some winter slacks away this morning and I thought what the heck I will try them on...............they were comfortable once again!! This is the first time in a long time if I sent my husband to my closet I would be able to wear (comfortably) whatever he brought me!! Don't know why I think like that......??? hahaha.

            Need to drink water today, high priority...........it was a busy day at the hospital yesterday and I did consume some, but not near the quota I need to.

            Good luck everybody! IT WILL BE A GOOD CHOICE DAY!!!!!

              Aloha,
              I'm here today. Still cranking on the project. I got an extension.. whew!
              I'm still sticking to a close to induction diet. I'm proud of myself for sticking with it even through a busy and stressful time. Self-pat on the back.

              It would be easy to give up and give in. My weight loss has been unimpressive so far.

              Atkins has taken away my cravings and appetite. I have energy and I feel good. I'm not sure why I'm not seeing the benefits of weight loss. But now is not the time for doubt or stress. I'm going to keep sticking with it through this crunch time. I'm pacing myself. After I get through my project completion, perhaps I'll start tweaking things.

                Hello.. I went to work at the dining hall today.. had to make pizza....I fixed a pretty veggie one and a pretty meat lovers one... and I ate a nice big salad with roast on top of it and it was yummy

                  ugh i feel so much better today..gave my 2 weeks notice today at my current job. what a relief.

                  i'm going to go work out now wooo! didn't get a chance to yesterday so i've gotta make up for it!

                    Evening everyone! Today went well. I went grocery shopping, whew this lifestyle can be expensive...but worth it!

                    Baby didn't sleep well through the night so I didn't wake up on time again, didn't get my workouts in. I have a four day weekend coming up and totally looking forward to 4 days of workout in a row!

                    keystonejae, what do you do at the hospital? My best friend is a nurse and I have such high respect for nurses.
