Hello everyone,
I'm new-ish. I was on Atkins a few years ago and did pretty well. Long story short all my weight has come back and more and I have been miserable. I recently had a health scare and an 8 day hospital stay that was unpleasant.
While I was in there I realized how important my HEALTH was - my weight doesn't really matter so much anymore; and I believe that was the push I really needed to make this lifestyle permanent. Since then I have started, and stayed on Atkins ( no cheats! ) and joined a gym, and I go to it almost every day! I'm even finding that I'm enjoying exercise. The best part - I have already lost 6 pounds and am wearing clothes I haven't worn in a long while.
Anyways just wanted to introduce myself!

I'm 19 as well but I must admit that my excuse for trying to lose weight have been purely based on my vanity rather than my concern for my health. I think the only choice I"ve made to try to be healthy for the sake of being healthy was the decision to give up caffeine 2 days ago.
I will lose weight, I will lose weight, I WILL LOSE WEIGHT!
