I don't understand how I fell off the wagon...I don't have an excuse, but I will say I was under tremendous stress at my previous job (it was so bad it ruined my Christmas ).

In that time, I gained the most weight ever, and it was a wake up call seeing those nasty purple stretch marks. I got to 200 pounds.

This morning I was afraid to weigh myself, worried I'd see 210 pounds...but it was only 192.8. I say "only" because I was really surprised. This is after my 4th day of induction.

So...if anyone remembers me I'm back! Feel free to slap me upside the head for being away so long LOL

    Re: Back again

    What's wrong with you?!

Okay now that that's over it's good to see you're back.

Welcome back! Check in at rollcall every morning, make a list of every Atkins-friendly food you like to eat (main dishes, side dishes, snacks) and post it on your fridge... Remember it takes 28 days to form a habit? Go to Walgreen's get a posterboard And number it BIG starting with 28 counting down to 1 and buy some stickers and for every successful day you make it through put a sticker over the numbers. When you get to 1, buy yourself something nice (not food) and then buy another posterboard.

(That helped me get back on track.)

And I will see you at rollcall tomorrow morning!!!

Don't beat yourself up over the past, it's in the past. Cherish the fact that you came back.

Welcome back! No need to try and figure out why it happened--it did happen, so now just work on moving forward towards goal. We can't change the past, but we can make the future better and brighter if we learn a lesson and then move on.

              Re: Back again

Welcome back. You already know the toughest time is the first two weeks and you've almost got a week under your belt!! Take things one day at a time and go slow. I've found it easier to break my goals into smaller chunks so instead of looking at my ticker say that I have 80 pounds to go I set the goal higher so it seems more attainable.

Don't worry about looking behind you--focus forward and visualize where you want to be and get yourself there!! You can do it.

An example of an everyday reward would be the sticker you put over the number... but every 28 days you should reward yourself with something nice
