  • Roll Call 6-12

    Good morning STACers. I am up early because it works for me. I am on day 4 of induction or resuming things and day 11 of biking. Both of these things seem to really make me thrive.
    I feel good.

    What makes you thrive???

    Good Morning everyone.. Hmm what makes me thrive.. I think the energy I get from this woe.. the not having as many headaches, stomachaches, bathroom issues..

    Day 5 for me... Its Summer break and yes I woke up at 5:30...grrrrr

      Good morning. This is so not an Atkins answer, but I thrive on sleep. With both of my children, I was very sleep deprived for 3 years. My body wouldn't let me sleep in late even if I had the opportunity. Now that my youngest is 3.5yrs, I am finally starting to sleep better. If I sleep better, I feel better and it's easier for me to follow this woe and I'm more apt to exercise.

        Sleep is a huge factor in my life. I have to have a good night's sleep in order to rise up and go for it each day!

          Good morning~~
          You guys sound so alert for such an early hour!

          It's a great feeling when you commit to a regime and you manage to stick with it! Kudos on day 11 of biking Jess!

          I'm sticking to my regime today....3km pledged in the June mileage challenge, 2 litres of water, no sugar, all my veggie carbs, and yes I agree on the sleep thing....very very necessary!

            Morning all. I too thrive on sleep but with this schedule I am not getting much. Thankfully I get to sleep in tomorrow.

              Up at 6:30 to beat the heat walking. Did my five miles before it got too beastly.

                Good morning. This is a very early hour for me these days. Day 6 and feeling great! I'd have to say I thrive when I'm not cheating and eating off plan. The tighter my routine the better I do. As soon as veer off in any direction it all unravels. Oh ya, and sleep!

                    Morning everyone! I thrive on sleep as well. With my work schedule, it's very hard to get a good days ( I work nights ) sleep. I'm tired, but have energy splurts, and with the terrible heat here in Texas, 104 degrees, I have a treadmill that I can use indoors. I get terrible headaches being out in the heat.

                    This is day 12 for me, and I am doing so well. I have lost a total of 17 pounds so far, over 3 inches from my waist, and 3 inches from my thighs. I am so proud of myself, for I am really sticking to this.

                      good morning! ah yes, sleep is definitely my friend. i am one of those people who NEEDS 8 hours or i just get so crabby.

                      i am on day 2 of re starting. thank goodness i made it through the day. clearing that first hurdle is always tough. i am feeling better already!

                      off to work in a few...man it is going to be a hot one today.

                      btw..anyone hear from mimom lately? haven't seen her in the check in's the last day or two.

                        Good morning all. This is day 22 for me and it's also my weigh day. I was slightly disappointed when the scale showed a half a pound gain but then I'm not surprised either because I know how my weight fluctuates. I won't let it get me down because I'm committed to this wol and I know that I will lose in the end. I didn't do my measurements yet; hopefully they will show some loss.

                          good morning all! day 12 for me too. only 5 pounds down but things are achangin' as bob dylan says. i have lost about 2 inches from my torso, and my back fat is looking smaller! woo-hoo! must be all the bending over from slinging mulch in the yard! bras are fitting better too.

                          i NEED to start thriving on my cardio.

                            I havent checked in since last week but i'm doing great still! I'm really happy with what i have lost on this induction so far. I'm hoping for a couple of more lbs before 14 days....FINGERS CROSSED

                              Well I've been MIA for awhile and am finally restarting induction today. I'm so sick of feeling fat all the time especially since the weather is FINALLY starting to stay warm and sunny and I really wish I'd feel comfortable in summer clothes.

                              So here I go again..for the 80th time but this time I realize that I have to make a life change if I ever want to look the way I wish I did. I'm not gonna get there by sitting on my a** all day at work eating chips and drinking soda.
