Hi again all! So glad to be back! you have no idea what a relief it is to recommit to this WOL!
This whole Atkin's journey started for me in May of 2006. I was 161 lbs and I couldn't believe it. The weight came off fairly steadily and quickly and I stuck to the plan. I felt great and looked better. For once I was the skinny friend
It took about 4 months to lose 24 lbs. After that I maintained for almost 8 months without reaching my goal (wasn't sticking to it as well as before) but without gaining either. Then I dove into a basket of bread and huge plate of pasta and low carb went out the window. It's been a little over a year since I stopped paying attention to my carb intake. I've tried other programs along the way..WW and just simply watching my portion sizes and running religiously. I also "restarted" once, but that only lasted a day. The weight has still crept back up. When I started Atkins at 161 lbs. I vowed I'd never be that heavy again. I intend to keep that promise to myself....
So, on Tuesday of this week I started induction
I feel devoted and excited to take this journey, once again, for the long haul. I can't wait to start getting back the energy I had last time around, and to be out of my fat jeans and into my skinny ones once again! I've tried it all....this is what makes sense, and this is what works!
I will update all of you on my progress.
Thank-you in advance for your support!
