  • Roll Call 6/24

Good morning STACers. I've been slammed with activity at 6am for days. Beating the heat and training for a 50mile bike ride and then a triathlon a month later. Working out with others before their kids get up or work day begins. I am loving the activity. But am eating poorly right now.
    Am working on it.

    Good Morning!

50 Mile bike ride, Jess? Wow! Way to go you!

I'm doing well today, I have three days of work left then I'm going on holiday for two weeks then when I come back I start my new job! Yay! I'm feeling way less hungry than I have been! Yay again! I'm really glad I'm back on track now but I'm still VERY anxious about being seen in a bathing suit next week! Ahh!

I just keep telling myself that next summer will be better! And the summer after that- EVEN better! That calms me a bit!

    Hope everyone is well today!

Wow, Jess! keep us posted on the races. I, on the other hand, am being a slug today. my body has been feeling kind of tired so I am taking today off to give it a full rest day instead of just switching up. Want to see if it makes a difference.

        Goodmorning

hangin in there day 6 of induction wondering if I messed up yesterday or if I am just holding alot of water. I know I should not have got on the scale but I did. Up 2 lbs. I did not get my water in yesterday, and I had nonbreaded chicken wings with tobasco sauce???? I cant get the rings off my fingers so I am thinking its its water. I have been here before and I just need to move forward and keep on going. I am off to the gym in a few as soon as I eat something hopefully I will sweat that salt out.

Jess~50 mile bike ride and triathlon awesome, I would love to do that some day.

Amy~I can relate about the bathing suit, you will be ok great way to talk your self though it. We will get there.

Jill~I agree some times you just need to take a break. Way to go on paying attention to what your body is saying. Some days you just need to take it easy.

Ok off to the gym to sweat my butt off. Everyone have a great day.

Good morning. Day 4 of my Re-Induction starts today and I'm feelin' fine. My L-glutamine got me through a day 3 hump (day 3's are bad for me) in the afternoon and rode me through till bed time (and I only took half a scoop!). It's truly the wonder drug (actually it's an amino acid, but who's being picky?).

Tacfla ~ Dr. Atkins recommends asparagus tablets to help with the water retention. After my success with his suggestions, I'm an avid "it says in the book" kind of person. That man knew what he was talking about!

          Have a great day everyone!

                  Happy Tuesday to all!

I'm on Day 14. Things are going well, except last night I ate an Atkins bar. Don't EVEN want to get that habit started! Still walking every day (Jess, 50 miles on a bike is AWESOME. I'm envious of the motivation!) and feeling great. Haven't checked the scales in a couple of days...my next goal is to NOT check them all the time, as it makes me crazy (or craziER as my colleagues would say)

                      Keep going, Jess!

I woke up with a sore arm...I either had a round or two with Rocky or I slept on it wrong. My FIL goes home tomorrow! I want to say YEA!, but I'll be nice and say yea . He's been great. It's been a great visit. I've actually done more exercise with him being here than I originally had thought. I know I'll be cleaning my house and kicking my exercise up a notch after tomorrow....there's nothing like being able to run free ( you know what I mean) in your own home when the company's gone

Day 2, doing well so far. Ketosis hasn't quite kicked in yet, so my energy's still not that great. Didn't do Turbo Jam last night like I intended, but I will today. I did walk, so making some progress.

Yesterday I started the C25k program. I'm so excited cause I've always wanted to be a runner and the program actually looks doable! First day was awesome. It was hard but I always feel so good after I work out!
