        Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's raining like crazy here today, but that's such a good thing for all the flowers. And we're blessed where I live; all of the horrendous flooding has gone around us.

Still on track and feeling like a million bucks. Hope you are all too!

Hoping this isn't a closed thread.

I need to be accountable because I have not been doing nearly as well as Induction the second time around. Last time I stuck to it like glue but this time I have been slipping. However, it's over and done....I'm letting it go and getting back on track as of today.

Heading to the grocery store after work and making Wooshie Pie for dinner. YUM!

Keep your eye on the prize, Kmrsail!

I dropped FIL off at the airport, did the few errands I had to do, bought a boat load (about $20 worth of fresh veggies), came home and did C25K week 3/day 2 without whinning too much, ate lunch with my family, and now I get to catch up on things that I've been wanting to do for me! I think I might just go paint my toe nails red or something wild!

Welcome Kmrsail it sure does help having some one thats going throught the same stuff as you and some one to chatt with.

I am here. I had a bit of a slip up my self last night. Took the kids to the drive in movie. There were loads of junk to eat and I was tired. I could have been worse. Mental note to self "Seems like I dont make the best decisions when tired so dont be around junk food" lol . Back on track today. Its been a good day and I have dinner in the oven and went to the gym this morning. So all is well. I will do this! It might take me a while, but I will do it.

Hope you all had a good day.

Hey everyone! I'm here and doing well! Food's getting a little bland. We were tight on budget so I didn't have a lot of room for exciting dinners. Oh well.

One question though... What the heck is Wooshie Pie!?!?!?!?! I'll eat anything that gives me a wooshie, please send the recipe!

Im on day 4 doing OK, probably eated to much of the foods I am allowed to eat but figure that is better then cheating off the list. But I need to cut down too so one thing at at time at this point. I plan on staying on induction for awhile to get things moving alone.

I made those cream cheese buttons last night and YUMMO there so good and ate to many so my cheese intake was high no doubt. I need to go to the store and get some thing for dinner tonight. Shirmp sounds good =)

I also want to know what a wooshie pie?

tacfla- I completely agree. I make bad choices when I am tired or unprepared. That's why I started off so poorly this time around, but I went to the grocery store last night and made a Whooshie Pie so now I'm all set. I packed my breakfast and lunch for today and tonight is more pie and veggies. We CAN do this!

For those who asked, Whooshie Pie or Hamburger Pie is a pretty popular food around here. The reason it gives you a whooshie is because of the horseradish, so if you don't like horseradish and choose to omit it you won't get the same effect. SanSSanity posted this recipe in 2003 and I have always loved it:

"I found this recipe on the recipezar.com site, and modified it just a little. But anyways here it is.

                              Hamburger Pie

                              2lbs of ground beef(lean)
                              1 package of cream cheese
                              2 tsp yellow mustard
                              2 tsp horseraddish
                              garlic powder to taste
                              salt and pepper to taste
                              dehydrated onions to taste

1st combine cream cheese, mustard, and horseraddish, garlic powder, salt and pepper, and dehydrated onions in a mixing bowl. Smooth it all out so when its done it will be a creamy yellow almost like the consistancy of the yolk of deviled eggs. Put aside, and split beef in half. Make a large hamburger patty and put into a round cooking dish(or square if you dont have round). Sprinkle with some salt and pepper and spread cream cheese mixture over the hamburger patty and take the other half of beef and make into another patty. Put on top of the patty with the cream cheese mixture and pinch the sides closed sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake at 325 for 55 min or until well done. Slice like a pie and enjoy!"

I leave out the onions and use 2/3 of the mixture in the patty and save 1/3 to brush on top about 10 min. before it's done. This can get a little messy, but I love the flavor. I also use more horseradish because I love the taste. You really do need to pinch the two patties together or all the filling will run out. Also, cooking time depends on how much you spread out the patty....I spread mine pretty thin so it's done in about 35-40 minutes instead of 55.

Hope you try it out AND get a whooshie!!!
