  • Roll Call - Sat 6/28

    Good morning STACers!

It's WAY too earlyto be up on a Saturday morning but our dog woke us up at 5:45 and we decided to stay up, as DH has his golf league today. And I was hoping to sleep in a bit today.

Anyway, I'm going to go for my walk here in a few minutes but thought I'd start the roll call. I'm still feeling very good and positive and on extended induction. This is where it gets tricky for me cuz it slows WAY down,so I have to be patient, embrace the fact that I feel terrific AND that inches are dropping sometimes when the scale is not reflecting success. I cannot let myself lose this mindset, so I've promised myself if I start to 'fade', I'm running to this board and crying for help. Thanks to all of you in advance!

    Have a great low-carb Saturday!

I am here.. not in a very good mood today.. I too have been up since 4 am.. I don't know why the dog thinks he needs to be walked at 4:30 just because I am up.. GRRR..

      Morning!

Just about ready to leave to drive to the airport. My son Sebastian (14) is leaving to go to Indiana to hang with his dad for a few weeks (6 weeks - OMG) I worry so much when he's there & I hate it when he leaves

Had a total fat fest yesterday, but man, it was good... Feeling bloated and icky this morn though. Busy weekend planned - that's always nice - and will help keep my mind off Sebastian.

Hope everyone has a glorious Saturday!!!

Hi all, I am still hanging in there although I haven't lost any weight in 2 weeks. I know that Atkins is the only woe for me and I'm sticking with it. I intend to have a great day and hope all of you do too.

Re: Roll Call - Sat 6/28

hey everyone, i think this is the first time i've checked in this week, but wanted to stop by. i weighed in on monday, and as of 3 weeks i've lost 10 lbs. i can definately tell i've lost inches, the flab that used to hang over the top of my pants is pretty much gone now. i feel so much better about myself. i've been completely cheat free through my whole time back to this woe. something i'm very proud of. the only thing that i've done that maybe could be considered close to a cheat was a couple of diet soft drinks with caffiene. if that's the worst i do i can't feel bad about it.
i've tried some new recipes that seem to have really helped me. my work had a company picnic this week and i was worrying about my will power to be able to stay strong in front of so many people and all the food temptations that would be placed in front of me. i was especially worried i would give into the breads for the burgers and hotdogs. then i saw a post where someone mentioned the oopsie rolls. i made some a couple days before the picnic and took them with me. i was able to enjoy my burger and hotdog just like everyone else without all the carby breads. all the desserts were kept inside away from the area we were eating so there was no temptation there. all in all a great time was has and cheats were avoided.

well i've carried on enough, sorry for the long post. hope everyone has a great weekend. will try to check in again soon.

Colleen, sorry about your son being gone so long. It's painful when our hearts are out there running around without us.

Finished 5 days of induction so far, down 7 pounds, so life is good here.

              Hang strong through the weekend!

Re: Roll Call - Sat 6/28

Good morning. I haven't participated in roll call yet. I guess today's the day.

Tomorrow will be the end of my second week on induction and I'm down "almost" 15 pounds. Wow, I feel so much better in my clothes. I'm debating on whether or not to continue induction another week or two.

I am having a problem with what feel like blood sugar drops and the associated nausea and weakness, though. When I leave for work, it's way too early to eat anything, and by the time i get to work and get settled in, I'm famished and feeling crappy. anyone else experience this kind of thing?

Re: Roll Call - Sat 6/28

Hey checking in not much going on around here, the weather doesnt know just what its doing one minute its hot the next its windy and over cast.

Hanging in there not seeing to much of a loss but trying to stay possitive I know this woe works. I just have to give it time. Did a few measurements yesterday did not see a huge difference but my arms are smaller than what they were a few weeks ago. Ah we will see, I must say I probably would have quit by now if I were not checking in daily. So I am glad I have you all to talk to.
                    thanks

A really quick hi to everyone. Not feeling too great today (I didn't sleep last night), but I'm still on plan.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Re: Roll Call - Sat 6/28

Hi all. Haven't checked in in a few but i am happy to report that my stall appears to have broken. I weighed in at 156.2 this morning. To see that number going down again..not just a single pound but a few is such a relief. Having been stuck at 160-165 for the past few months almost made me give up. But i knew if i just stuck it out my body would have to give in.
