Good morning STACers. Aug. 1 it will be 2 years since I decided to come back to this diet and way of life. I lost all the weight I needed to and began to exercise and enjoy my life again. I went to Boone North Carolina this weekend to watch my husband in a road race, riding his bike 50 miles in the big mountains that Lance Armstrong use to practice in. It was incredible, and a great time. I met a gal and we took a 16 mile ride up a mountain or two and down in the most amazing valleys. An hour and a half later I was so glad I biked, brought my bike and enjoyed activity enough to not just sit in my lawn chair but to participate in the sport. I use to sit and watch the world go by, while I sat in my lethargic overweight place. Almost 2 years ago, I got up and made the committment to change my life. It has been the hardest 6 mos in the world keeping to those changes, coming back to those changes, seeking to maintain those changes. In June I will have ridden over 300 miles on my bike. Last year at this time, I was deep in triathlon training.
Loosing the weight allowed me to get back to the things in life, I really loved doing, or always wanted to try.
