Hmmm, I can't live without Linda's Low Carb website!! I try new things all the time. I make one of her dinners, then take the leftovers to school. I love veggies and dip, either ranch dip or I take a little ranch, red hot, and cream cheese and whip it together. Dip cucumbers in it!! Soooo good!!
I love my crockpot, too. Its a life saver. You can throw a chicken and some seasoning, and when you get home from work/school/errands you have a yummy meal waiting for you.
Try to get 80-100 ounces a day!

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right.

If you like Asian food and have reached the nut rung, the Pong Pong chicken is easy and tastes great. I found it somewhere on the web a long time ago and can't even remember where I got it. Our family loves Thai cooking and this definitely has a Thai peanut twist.

We also make a lot of curries with coconut milk and peppers. I usually substitute chicken broth for some of the coconut milk. We just eat them as soups rather than putting them over rice.

Hello. How can you be bored, just look at your results. According to your ticker you are just about halfway home. If I was bored, I would look to that as a motivater and should snap me outta my being bored. You are doing so great, stick to your gameplan. Whatever it is your doing is working. Stay true and stay focused. God Bless, Joe

            Re: Getting a bit bored..

I get in "slumps" and "routines" which cause me to get bored. I try and come up with new stuff - it just doesn't always happen as much as I would like it to.

Look at Linda's site - also sugar free shelia's stuff - sometimes her "treats" hit the spot and I don't worry about them any more. But like last night I didn't want to eat because - ehhh been there done that, wasn't in the mood for what I made - so I completely understand

Induction snacks I like to keep handy at all times....

              Celery w/cream cheese
              sliced cucumbers
              olives
pepperoni (nuke in the microwave for about 30-45 seconds...until crisp)
              small handful of pork rinds
or just eat small meals through out the day

I have noticed that going through induction the Xth amount of time for me means I think I have to constantly eat the first few days (or even week) and then my appetite lessens and snacks are just something that I keep in case of emergency when I'm running errands or having to take care of business. I've also taken a cue from the great posts here about eating protein with every meal as well as fat. There's a lot to the idea of eating the fat to feel full and happy

Thanks every one for the ideas..

*Lisa* Your so right about snacking and starting inductions. I started again last week due to the huge cheat I had. Stress and boredom lead me to be weak so I dont want to do that again. I was so sick for 4 days I know I wont do that again it wasnt worth it. But Id like to find some different things to eat.

Anyway thanks again for the ideas ladies I will check out Lindas site and see what I can find.

Lindas coconut chicken is the bomb. I am planning on making it on friday, but part of me wants to skip ahead and make it tonight.

Hey girl, how is the boredom coming along? You know when you get to weight and meet your goals, your boredom will have to really be controlled or you will end up just tinkering with foods and letting carbs back and gaining weight...Boredom and Burnout are my two greatest enemies and boy do they come at you full force!

You know this is great on Tilapia, too. You don't have to cook it as long obviously.

Also, Parm Crusted Salmon uses the same sauce. It's awesome.

                          Re: Getting a bit bored..

                          Here's a couple ideas:
                          - I use thin sliced roast beef torn up on salads, so it's in the fridge if I want a small snack. High in fat and protein, zippo carbs.
                          - Rollups with cheese as the wrap and meat and mayo on the inside are good but I tend to eat too much cheese if I have it around.
                          - Broccoli is another good one - a few flowerettes or whatever they are called aka trees. Other raw veggies are good but of course they add up (peppers are sweet and higher in carbs), so I plan them for the day like other snacks.
                          - I keep a glass of ice water in the fridge at all times. I pull it out first thing in the morning and while I am working on the PC, etc. which satisfies me as well. Yes, it seems odd, but water is a snack for me. Maybe it's a 'oral fixation' thing ... and I don't want any funny comments on this, unless they are really funny. I think the water replaces the bag of chips or [insert your favorite mindless pre-Atkins snack].

                          Hope this helps.
