  • Hey folks, I'm baaaack!

Hello ladies & gents! I'm BACK! I know I haven't been active on the boards for about 3 weeks. In those 3 weeks I had cheated/re-started for a whlie. I also gained some back, I'm heavier now than when I started in May. Then I got into this phase where I just wanted to do like a fitness model's diet which is basically Atkins after all the rungs....yeah, that didn't work. And it lead me to foolishly purchase a high quality whey isolate protein powder (no-carbs) as part of the regimen. It's on ground shipping right now, I'd hate to let it go to waste as money doesn't grow on trees. I suppose I can use it on extended induction or perhaps when I reach the appropriate rung.

ANYWAY, that's what I've been doing the last 3 weeks eating-wise. The next 3 weeks will look nothing like that. Tomorrow is the 1st, new month, new me, and I'm ready to welcome back this WOE with arms wide open, if it'll have me. I can start fresh and have no reservations. Does anyone else have this weird thing about starting on a Monday or the first day of the month? I feel like I'm so thrown off if I don't re-start on a Monday or the begining of the month, it's weird, I wish I could get over it. Oh well it doesn't matter because it is the begining of a new month, PERFECT. And that is how my induction will look

Now I gotta change my siggy and add back all that weight I put on

      Welcome back!

I don't know much about the whey protein, but something tells me that it's not meant for Induction? I could be wrong, but I don't remember reading that it was allowed during Induction. I know what you mean about starting at the beginning of a new month/week, though. It's a mental refresher But I think keeping in mind that any day can be a fresh start so that we don't binge until the new "new day/month"....it's not easy to do, but it helps.

      Best wishes and play hard!

        Re: Hey folks, I'm baaaack!

I set my Induction date for tomorrow--Tuesday, July 8. Mostly because my husband and I took the motorcycle class at the local Harley shop and I was too lazy to fool with Induction foods.

Also because I have a beach trip planned on Wednesday-Saturday with friends and we like to eat. If I go ahead and start on Tuesday, I'll be strong through the trip. Otherwise, I'd just gain another five pounds.

One of my friends just sent an email that her key lime tree has fruit and she is making key lime pies as we speak. Oh, well.

Anyway, as for starting on Mondays or the beginning of the month, I guess it's just a new beginning thing.

Welcome back! We missed you! I had a couple of weeks where I was REALLY bad, then a few days after my re-start that I was even WORSE!

It's all about dusting yourself off and new beginnings! Good luck!
