  • Here I go again

    Hi everyone,

This is my 3rd try on Atkins. My first time was 5 years ago, and I did a great job reaching goal (lost 70lbs) maintained it for 8 - 10 months, started eating bad again, and started making more and more excuses on not going to the gym, and then slowly gained it back plus 10.8 lbs. Last year, I tried again but failed after a couple of months (after losing 28 lbs). I know that I can do it again, and hate that I let myself get back to where I was....I will not beat myself up over it. Today is day 2 of induction. I am very happy to be back!!
If you get off track, remember that every day is a fresh start.

    Restarted Atkins 7/7/08
    Female SW 240.8

    Week 2 - 230.6 (10.2 lb loss)
    Week 4 - 223.4 (17.4 lb loss)

I hope you succeed and stick it out this time. It's a shame all that hard work to give it all back. Need to stay strong and true to yourself. Stay motivated and you'll do fine. God Bless, Joe

Welcome back Suzy and I hope you have an easy induction. Remember that you are worth it and don't allow yourself to be victimized by food anymore. It is just protoplasm on a plate and has no power over you except what you give it. It is not your friend. We are. Good luck!

        Re: Here I go again

Glad you are back!! This is my second 'real' time on Atkins. I have had several tries at Induction in the past 2 years, and I even tried to do my own version of 'low-carb'. Needless to say, that did NOT work! LOL
I am back, and I am already only 2 pounds away from where I was when I fell off the wagon 2 years ago. This time, is the last time. I will work my way up the OWL rungs, get to goal, and maintain. So will you. Take care and good luck!
Try to get 80-100 ounces a day!

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right.
