  • Questions about Fitday

Anyone here use the site? I set it up which was really easy and then I set out to enter my foods for today.

It took me forever to determine that I've had fifteen grams of carbs today which is something that I figured out in my head.

Is there a trick to entering food that I'm not getting?

It's slow starting I agree. Under ''Add a Food there is the 'add recent' so you can easily pull up food you are repeating. I like it for the carbs and the ratios. Plus to plan a day.

The box at the top right gives you your daily totals including carbs and the fiber which you subtract out--no need to do the math yourself. I figure out some recipes I use a lot and add them under custom foods to save time.

fitday is a little time consuming at first but as your lists of recent foods and cutomized grows, it does get easier and less time is involved.

I agree with "jimmie". The more you use it, the more your regular stuff will be stored in the recent foods and it becomes much easier. I also try to pop in after each meal so I don't have to do it all at once. Keeps me more honest too.

I love fitday! No only does it count your carbs, you can make sure your fat/carb/protein ratios are correct. When I am around 65% fat/5%carbs/ 30% protein I lose the best. Stick with it!!
Try to get 80-100 ounces a day!

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right.

I love fitday ~ it can be time consuming but it keeps me honest. I write down everything, even the cheats.

Thanks, y'all. I didn't realize that it will remember foods for me.
                That'll make it easier.

WOW... I went on fitday and just put in all the foods I ate today and to my shock I was just over 2000 in cal's and 56 grams of Carbs. OMG I cant believe I was so far off.. No wonder Im not really losing but showing up purple in the ketose sticks. I really need to have a better meal plan then just eating here and there..

Kelly, the RECENT FOODS section will show the foods you have put in in the last day or so. Then if you add under NEW CUSTOM foods, you can add the totals for Atkins recipes or the info from your favorite low carb groceries that you use frequently and that will save you time in the long run.

Aussieinaz to be that far off, you might check the numbers because for example when you select Eggs, it automatically puts a cup of Eggs and you need to change that to 2 large Eggs, which is much lower.

I did WAY better today, total today I did 841 cals, 24 carbs with 9 fiber so that is a total of net carbs of 15. So WAY better then yesterday and all legal foods with out over doing it. Im going to love keeping track on fitday my new best friend. So I guess today is my first day of induction, a clean REAL induction.
