  • End of first week

This is the end of seven days of Atkins Induction. When I wake up in the morning, I'll be on week two.

I made it through a trip to the beach with my girls!!! Last year, I'm sure I gained five pounds during our annual beach trip. I'm glad I decided to do induction before we went. It made it that much easier to say NO.

It's real close to being a "clean" induction. I've had some black coffee and some Diet Coke.

First time around, neither of those gave me a problem so I think that's why I wasn't as strict. I need to work on that.

I'm getting plenty of water. Exercise is going good.

I'll be weighing myself a week from tomorrow. Let you know!!

PS When I came on the site this time, it recommended this forum for people who are redoing atkins as opposed to the induction forum. This forum doesn't seem to be very active and I'm wondering if someone could direct me somewhere that's more active with more support???? Or maybe this forum is active, but it's just a downtime????

    Re: End of first week

This is active but the Main Forum is always buzzing. Many of us post over there if it is a topic that applies to all Atkineers and not just us repeaters. I usually check in on both each day (along with exercise and challenges and journal - LOL).

    HW (this time) 248
    GOAL ONE 228
    (take 2)
    GOAL TWO 213 (personal goal)
    GOAL THREE 199 ONE-DERLAND
    FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

Maybe I should just start a journal. Nine times out of ten, I'm only typing to keep myself from eating....

Well done.. I know its hard some times I use to drink diet coke like it was going out of fashion and found myself going 3 to 4 days with no water and just drinking diet coke. Since March 24th I have had a total of 2 cans if that of diet coke. Once you get it out of your body you dont crave it. Now when I go out I get soda water with lime or lemmon to make it feel like Im having "soda" I find the more water I drink the more I crave it.

Today is my first real day of a clean induction and I find i have a headache probably all the crap leaving my body that i had over loaded on thinking it was legal I can eat it allot, well not the case if you want to lose..

I dont have allot of time on the board so I come here and the challange part and thats it. I find this group to be great and always some one to answer me if i need some help.
