  • Trying to diagnose a headache

I'm on day 10 of Induction. Yesterday I got a terrible headache, possible sinus? My left eye is killing me and all around it including my left sinuses.

Caffeine? Possibly, I still have 1/2 cup in the morning but that is waaay down from what I was having.

TOM? I forgot what those headaches were like after eleven years but I didn't think they were concentrated around the eye.

Who knows? It woke me up this morning it hurt so bad. Jeez.

Re: Trying to diagnose a headache

Please note that I am not a medical professional, just a fellow-Atkiner who also had and still gets the occasional headache. If the condition persists, please seek professional advise.
So....here is my 2 cents. Your body is going through a major change in what it eats, processing it and basically
trying to get rid of all those toxins and additives we currently have in all food. You have made the decision to eat CLEAN with a very specific food list. Your body is going to protest. I believe subconsciously our body and mind want to take the easy route and what feels good.
Sounds a bit crazy I know and if you had of asked me in
Dec of last year, I would have thought it a bit too new agey. But now, I am so aware of what I eat and the affect is has on my body - ranging from headaches, sluggishness and stomach pains. Your body gets used to eating a clean and purer diet. My advice is to ride out the storm and focus on the future and what you will feel like, look like and be like in terms of weight loss and energy! This way of eating is amazing but you cannot cheat and get results.
Stay the course and you will reap the rewards!

Thanks, it went away after lunch. No telling what caused it but it hurt really bad. I never get headaches so I was NOT happy about it.

BTW, did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night???
