    Good morning Everybody!
    Nick, it was good to hear your story! Weight loss has been slow and your determination encouraged me! Today is good and I am glad it is Friday! I have been doing Atkins almost a month, the weight is coming off slow, but I can tell I have lost inches. My clothes all fitting looser. I am down 7.5lbs. I have not weighed in a week and a half, I was getting addicted to the scales and bummed if no loss. I am going read the book again to see what I am missing. I am in the squat challenge and H2O challenge and have been walking too! So, everyone have a good Aktins weekend and wish me luck on continued determination and success! I will make it!

      Thanks for starting the thread today Nick, very encouraging and motivating. You inspired me to keep going when I want to quit. Onward and forward.

      The last two days were very busy for me with my biofeedback appointment, doctor appointment to remove a mole, accupuncture, oil change, car wash, water aerobics, then yesterday neurologist and therapist... I'm sick of being a patient! Ready to be well. I'm practicing my breathing exersizes twice a day and find them very relaxing. Stressed about my ds who signed up for the marines... found that screaming in the car when I'm all by myself REALLY does relieve stress! ha. Plus, the hysterical laughter afterwards helps as well....

      Today, I'm going to a travel agent to figure out a good cruise to take with the family and then out to dinner and a movie with my dd and some other moms and their dd. We're seeing Mama Mia. and going to a greek restaurant. fun.

        Liz,

        It is so good to see you. I used to be on here as "DebOnAtkins" I remember you. It sounds like you are leading a very busy and full life. The cruise idea sounds amazing!

          Well, last night DH and I started scraping the ugly old tile from our basement floor. It was a workout.

          I've stayed on program now for 13 days! I've only lost 6 lbs, but, according to my book, that means I have an average metabolism for a woman with my kind of weight to lose. DH is doing better than I thought he would. He started a couple of days after I did and I was sure that he would have fallen off the wagon by now, but he's holding on.

          We're going camping next week. My goal is to stay on program the whole time!

          oh, and I had a NSV. I put on a pair of shorts today that used to be tight. Not only did I get them on, they are comfortable!

            I am checking in.. not doing well today food wise.. But got a lot of house work caught up and have been working order all my pictures that I need for scrapbooking

                    well with almost 50lbs behind me i had a movie theater cheat. i went to the movies to see batman and 3 popcorn kernals turned into an entire medium bag of popcon and i ate every single kernal. then i cam home and i didnt really feel bad but i felt a lil guilty so i ran 2 miles and all i had for dinner was salmon in a can and a 3 huge cups of water and a lil whipped cream. i think the reason i cheated was because its been a week and a half since the scale moved so i feel a lil discuraged. so im sure now the scale will move again but it will just be in the wrong direction. goodluck every one. ps batman was super awesome if i get ahold of a cape its all over im gunna be batman

                      I'm moving next week and I'm trying like heck to put off buying new stuff until I get there.

                      But you're right! I can't go a week without walking/running.

                      Any suggestions? The ones that fell apart were Nikes without laces. They were about five years old. I never wore them and I think they dry rotted.

                        You know, popcorn never crosses my mind until we're at a movie theatre. Thank God, that's hardly ever. Once my fingers get greasy, it's on.
