  • 21 days to break a habit?

    I think my munching, or hand to mouth habit or constant chewing habit is gone. Really weird to feel that I don't need to constantly be chewing. I like it. I'm feeling calmer.

    When I was a smoker, I would eat during the day (when I wasn't able to smoke at work.) When I quit smoking, I ate all day long and when I wasn't eating, I was chewing gum. My jaws were working sixteen hours a day.

    Who'd have thought that was a habit I had to break? It made me nervous for the past couple of weeks. The past few days, however, I think that I'm at peace without my jaws going. I had to get in the habit of being STILL.

    For me sometimes I eat out of boredom. ... Nothing to do? What is there to eat? .... it is strange how the mind works. You will find that this WOE and any diet ... and any form of weight loss in 90% mental. I mean we all know that if you eat less and better and exercise more you will lose weight. However it is actually sticking to the plan, focussing, getting out and exercising that is the hard thing to do ... the mind has to want it.
