  • Hi again!

I at one time was really successfull with Atkins. (I know that sounds familiar) Anyway as I type one handed, my 7 month old daughter is sitting in my lap. My weight and size is creeping up. I had gotten down to 8's and 10's and now I'm 16' and 18's. While a new baby is a great excuse, I need to stop with the excuses. My plan is Monday to restart. Then hopefully update by size more than weight.
Anyway hoping things go well as I have been out of this for awhile. Nothing to lose but weight! I would really like to have my daughter always remember me healthy.
restart 16-18/8-12 (crazy sizing)/love to get into some 6's

    Re: Hi again!

Well welcome back. Before long you should be back down again. We will try to help you. The thing you probably now realize is that you need to continue on this WOL ... it is fairly easy and you feel great. What is worth more the bight of that "delicious" food or feeling good and healthy.

Getting started is definitely the hardest part. So congrats on that.

      Re: Hi again!

      Thanks,
This morning when checking email I got an email from this board asking how things were going. Kind of a great little nudge to get things going again.
I commented to a friend just last night I really needed to actively start trying to get my weight under control and she said I just had a baby i was entitled. Yeah, I really don't want to get back up to a size 22 before I get started again. And to be very honest I ate exremely healthy while pregnant and while not Atkins low carb, it was lower/healthy carb and I gained 11 pounds. Everything has crept on since with being up several times a night and trying to take care of baby and not so much me. At least I'm not quite that big this time so hoping I just have some great success this time around. Also have noticed more and more items geared for this way of life/eating. Golden Flax.... Really gotta see what the difference is there. Anyway I never have really gotten too much back into junk, just too much healthy carbs. Cherrios are a quick snack for a hungry new mom. As is a quick sandwhich and even lower carb bread slices still add tons of carbs when you add them up. SAme with flat outs. Just convient but really gotta start adding things up again and keeping my carbs down. And glasses of milk, yeah they add up too. Then I have fallen off the low caffine wagon. Coffee has become my best friend and i really need to stop that. My little one is sleeping at night for the most part so I'm not as exhausted so this is a great time to get back into old habits.
So I am hoping it will be an easier transition. At least hoping maybe the induction flu is mild.
Gonna cook some chicken legs tommorrow and get things in order for quick induction foods for next week.
