  • fighting the fats.

I never really went off the wagon and haven't had rice, bread, pasta, or potatoes in nearly 5 years. I also gave up all sugar except the occasional Splenda softddrink. I don't miss them most of the time. But I've been plataued for about 2 years now aand it's terribly depressing.
I love meats and I love veggies (I tell people I mostly only eat vegatables and vegatarians). But I know one of the things that halts me is my lack of fats.

How do people get 65% fats in a normal daily diet? The meat and veggies are easy. I could eat a nice steak and a salad every day.. but it's not working!

Olives, cream chesse, avocados, mayon, mayo, butter, great oils like grapeseed and toasted sesame oil....

Try radishes sauteed in bacon fat with a few onions, awesome. Add sausage to your veggies. Cook mushrooms in real butter. Make hot spinach salad. Boil turnips, mash with butter. Eat fried eggs!

But good job on dumping the empty carbs!

The only time you need to eat 65% fat is on induction. When you start to add back carbs, the fat intake goes down. Protein stays the same. Also, since you have lost a lot of weight, you don't need as many calories as you did at one time.

If you would like to go back on induction to see if you can break the stall, eating avocado, olives and using olive oil will get your fat intake up quickly. I always add extra olive oil to my salad dressing to get more fat. It really doesn't take all that much to get the fats up.

Do you exercise? That is the best way to break a stall. Change up your exercise about every 4 to 6 weeks and your losses should start back up.
