  • Roll Call 8/6/08

    Morning all, I'm up way early today. Between having to pee and the cat bugging me, I just don't get to sleep in anymore! So I admit I'm in a better mood this morning... down 3 pounds from yesterday. Not sure what spurred the sudden drop, but who cares Hope everyone has a great day.

    I'm not down any today from when I normally weigh myself (Saturday) but I've been holding steady at that weight since then so I'm happy with that. Sometimes when the scale drops, it takes several days at that same weight for me to believe that I really lost a pound.

    Going to an all day training today. I'm packing my own lunch and snacks so I'll have some celery, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese, hardboiled eggs and leftover meatloaf.

    I joined the exercise challenge that starts next week and I'm trying to decide what I can do that won't increase the pain in my foot. I'm thinking of getting a stability ball and maybe trying an exercise bike at the gym. Swimming is out because it's not really exercise if the 2 year old goes with you and I can't see myself going and not taking the kids.

      Coming up on a 3 day weekend in Edinburgh. If I can maintain my 3 pound weight loss I will be thrilled! Packing rain gear and good walking shoes.

        Personally, I consider a 2 year old to be exercise all in his/herself!

          g'morning, all!

          I'm not feeling so hot. yesterday, out of the blue, I had horrible stomach cramps. they got better, but I still feel sick today. I wish I could stay home, but I can't afford to. usually when my stomach would really act up, I'd drink coke to quell it, this time around that clearly isn't an option. sigh.

          anyway...hope you're all feeling great! hehe!

            Mornin!

            So last night, it was raining super hard and I was trying to cook dinner... I kept feeling water hit my leg. I looked all around, couldn't figure out what was going on then looked up - My freaking ceiling was leaking... This is the middle floor of the house - there was no water upstairs, so where the YO did it come from? Needless to say, we called insurance and someone is suppose to come out today to figure out what the deal is - super flipping swell...

            I am heading off to spin class & upper body resistance, followed by lunch with a pal. My butt hurts from lower body resistance and yesterdays spin class - hurt bootie=tight bootie eventually, right

            So between stressing about the bloodsucking insurance company, my upcoming "skin check", the results of my bloodwork (which should be in..), Sebastian coming home on Saturday, getting the chitlins ready for school in 1.5 weeks, the hole in my ceiling, and really not liking my dog, etc... I'm even more of a angry reject than I was before! I swear, short people are the worst to get rilled up -so much pent up anger from being teased for years...

            And I'm off! Have a good one all!

              This morning one of my co workers brought me an ice coffee from McDonalds .. she said she ordered s/f , but i took two sips and realized that it wasn't ... There was probably 10 carbs in those two sips :-( oh well ... i cant change it, so im just gonna keep moving forward .. ( i shouldnt be drinking that stuff anyway, even the sugar free)

              I got rid of my scale. Well for a week anyway, im moving on Sunday and i packed my scale .. so we'll see how things look on Monday ..

              Todays Goal is to drink LOTS of water ( 6 bottles ) !! And to work out tonight....

                  Keeping the water bottle refilled and the scale in the closet for awhile. Challenges are keeping me honest **We have an awesome Chinese buffet near here. It's a family favorite of ours... Nowadays I just stick with the raw veggies, hard-boiled eggs, broiled salmon, baked chicken, peel 'n eat shrimp, sauteed mushrooms. I just don't stress about what's on everyone else's plate. I do wish they had SF jello, tho -It's one of the few places I miss dessert... I try not to even go near that area. Funny now I'm more tempted by the orange slices than the cake. Good luck, stay strong... you'll be so proud of yourself the next day ...and happy bday to your MIL!

                    Thanks, I was thinking broccolli and beef after looking at the restarant part of the forums. It may not be the greatest induction meal but it will work with maybe some broth of the soup. The soup is called sizzling rice. The meal is served family style with one big pot of soup, pot stickers and then several entrees with rice. I think the broccolli beef will be a nice change of pace for everyone.

                          I will and I know....
                          But it is her birthday and her choice so I have to eat something there. I searched and found that all things considered this would be best as it is not a buffett type of place you strictlyorder from the menu.
                          Anyway, I'm eating now hoping to not be hungry then. Yeah. And I curled my hair (first time since baby), did the makeup and slipped ona pair of jeans I couldn't wear this weekend. That always encourages you to eat better when you take the time to doll up for dinner. Kind of like I am worth it, just look at me. Less is more tonight.

                            Wow, I leave for a week and there's a whole load of newbies! Yay!!!
                            Well I'm back from vacation! It was awesome, one of the most relaxing weeks I've had in a loooong time. Eating was terrible but oh well. Back on track as of Tuesday and going strong!
