  • Fanny pack snacks

The lunches at our conference, I just found out, will be 'box lunch' type. I am sure that means sandwich, chips, cookie....

I need things I can put in a fanny pack, as I will not be able to go back to the hotel, not enough time, so I can't take cold packs and my own food. The only thing I have come up with is macadamia nuts! which will be a technical cheat but won't mess up my ketosis. I am so determined to come back from this thing still in ketosis.. and the dinners will be lavish but I am sure there will be legal food, just lots of 'not legal and very tempting' food too. But lunch is going to be a problem.

It may just be a matter of pulling out the sandwich meat!

    Hi there,
How about cheese sticks. They're individually wrapped and they won't need refridgeration. Also, if you like fish, there's always a can of sardines. Tuna makes sealed packets too. Avacados are great. Just take a knife and cut it in half and use a spoon to eat it with. They have their own little bowl (skin)

I can see doing string cheese. And a boiled egg should be okay for a few hours!

and all the veggies you can pack in that fanny pack, too!

Don't forget you can take olives in a ziploc bag too...great fats!

Veggies are not going to stay cold or even cool, is the problem. I promise to get my veggies at dinner, they have to have a salad or two! Olives sound great, I love black olives.

          This is very helpful!

oh there's plenty of veggies that can tolerate being in a fanny pack. Celery, cucumbers, and peppers are a few. You want to make sure you don't OD on the veggies at one time, especially at dinner time, because too much at one time causes some nice surges and spikes you don't want. It's better to spread it out your veggie carbs. I understand the frustration of having to go so long and deal with what you have. Have fun planning!

hmmm thats kinds a tough one ..

i dont think pepperoni needs to be refrigerated, since it just hangs on a shelf at the store.. ???

If you are given a sandwich, just eat the cheese and meat..

i like the idea about the black olives ...

try to see if you can find some beef jerky that doesn’t have illegal ingredients in it ..

              maybe a atkins meal bar?

So maybe you have a small lunch... it stinks, but sometimes we have to make sacrifices .. just drink more water to keep you full

              Good luck and have fun
