  • Five weeks today

    Today is five weeks and I wrote three weeks ago that I was down seven pounds during induction. YeeHaa.

    My scale was in Florida and I'm in Georgia so I hadn't weighed in three weeks. My husband came up here on Sunday and brought my scale.

    Well, the travel trailer that we are living in is not level so now I can't vouch for the accuracy of the scale. Really kind of funny because I got off of it and on it about five times and it read five different things.

    Anyway, it doesn't look like I've lost anything at all the past three weeks. :-( I have been using the strips and I've never gone out of purple. My carbs have been less than 20.

    I'm giving up the pork rinds for a week and seeing if this helps. Also, I had stopped drinking the green tea. I'm going to pick that up again as my evening "snack." Instead of pork rinds.

    As far as my clothes go, I'm in a weird place. Fourteens are absolutely hanging off of me. I mean NOT attractive at all. Twelves, otoh, are a little tighter than I'm comfortable with...

    I've thought about bringing the scale to school with me. I know the floor is level here but by the time I get here, I've had so much fluids and that messes up my usual weigh ritual. I've always weighed first thing in the morning after I go to the bathroom....

    have you been measuring yourself? my weight is coming off slooooowly, but I'm consistently losing inches.

      I will just say up front I am anti=scale. Your clothes will continue to give you alot of feedback. My clothing shows weightloss and my scales often show weightloss, but some times they just get stuck, and my clothing still gets smaller and smaller. Scales really bother me, as I exercise alot and have build up a lot of muscle or am retaining water from over training...so all that hard work does not reflect on the numbers between my toes, but those clothes they just keep getting looser and looser....So, I just totally quit the scales and relaxed with the awareness my body was continuing to change.

        Some great advice. I stepped on the scale today and didnt lose a darn thing. Which I hear that is normal when you add in exercise. Btw, you look awesome!

        Kelly - have you measured yourself yet? Sounds like you are losing lots of inches by what your clothes are telling you. Keep up the good work, sounds like you are doing great.
