  • I posted this under intros, but this is where I belong

    Hello,
My name is Jamie, I'm a 21 year old female from Michigan. I am newly married -as of 8-8-8-, and I'm 2 semesters away from my bachelor's degree. My husband and I take care of my 13 year old brother, and we are in the process of moving this month, becuase my husband is going to work for a different company (he's an airplane mechanic).

    On to my weight introduction:
I started the Atkins diet at the age of 16 tipping the scales at 250 pounds. After years of Atkins, binges, switching between low carb and low cal -- I seen my lowest weight ever: 158 pounds. It still wasn't thin enough, of course, so I kept at it.

In the summer of 2007 my mom died, turning my whole world upside down. I lost my best friend, gained my brother, my relationship with my dad became very strained, and that leads me to where I'm at today.

I have put on a lot of weight over the past year. I have been dieting while doing so, but the binges and the 'cheat' days have become every other day. When I weighed myself yesterday the scale read 201 pounds. I have not seen the 200 pound mark since I was about 17 years old.

That is why I'm here. It is time for me to get serious again. I don't want to be 200 pounds, 190 pounds, or even 170 pounds. I want to get back to the 160's -- a place where I felt good inside and outside.

I am here for support, to stay on track.

    Hi Jamie!
I'm on day two myself, as the scale has crept very close to 200 and I promised myself I would NEVER be that weight again. I also felt great at 163 and I'd love to get back there.
I can relate to a "series of unfortunate events," ie, life, getting in the way. I'm right here with ya and can't wait to see our results as we take control!

I promised myself I'd never see 200 on the scale again!

Hi Jamie, You have been thru a lot; you'll get a lot of support here. Good luck. I'm on day 4 of induction right now and it's going to be a battle, I know!

oh Jamie, you have been through a whole lot! I am so glad you are here, and that you want to loose weight and transform your life. This is the best thing you can do forYOU, and in turn it will help you being the best for those you love! It's amazing how once you get going, life really flows, joy is there and energy and it can transform your life, but it spills out all over everything. Just getting married is stressful and well as blissful, and having a teenage brother is stressful, but hopefully you are all getting through this incredible time of adjustment! Do this for you and it will pay off all the way around
