Oh, so we are at WAR with FAT???? I like that! Unfortunately in my life it is a daily war full of strategic warfare choices. I choose to use war-plans to foil my enemy....hmmm who is the enemy, some times it's "ME". I have to watch out for fatigue, it's the number one destroyer of plans and goals....I have to stay on my toes, especially when I am around myself! Never leave home without a snack....Never over do it, to the point of exhaustion....I never win in exhaustion....as of late. Never give up on myself, always hold the ground I've got and some times saving a "forward charge" for another day!
After 2 years I think I am past infantry and ready for officer candidate school....maybe one day the war college!!!!!

            Stupid Slurpee!

            Hello, friends.

            Hope you're all well!

As for me, D*!#ed "sugar-free" Crystal Light slurpees (BEWARE OF 7-11!) trashed my induction Day One. I drank one (OK, a big one) on the way home from my doctor's app't as a treat. Decided to google it once I got home. EeeeK! Those sugar-free Crystal Light slurpees pack a DOUBLE-DIGIT carb content in just 12 oz. Aaagh!

So, my Day Three of induction is really Day Two, but I'm exercising and watering myself and following the instructions and feeling Great! Cutting way back on the Diet Coke is not being as difficult as anticipated.

I promised myself and the board to collect and publish my "Before" stats and goals so that ... I dunno', I just love seeing pictures of all of you succeeding. So, what the heck? Embarrassing, but maybe that will be good for me. Here goes:

            razz stats
            8-21
            Height 5'5"
            Weight 198.5
            Bust: 44
            Waist: 41
            Hips: 47
            Thigh: 22

From my last time on Atkins (I lost 30+ on round 1 I know that the scale is not our only measure. My clothes were fitting better before I was feeling much on the scale.
I tried a few times to upload a photo, but kept getting "invalid file" messages. Will persevere.
I've walked every day this week. My body is stunned. Freaked. My ankles and one knee are sore. I'm considering new walking shoes... any suggestions from you pros?

And THANK YOU THANK YOU for your welcome notes.

              Morning!

Feel like caca - getting a cold, and after almost 6 months, I finally got my period! yippeeeeeeeee!

Taking the day off from the gym. I need to rest a little. Since I have to get the boys out of the house, I'll go hang at the pool and try to relax there...

Have a super fantastic day everyone!

                Re: Roll Call 08/21/08

Hello from the Soggy State, aka Florida ... rain up the wazoo from Tropical Storm Fay, and we haven't even seen the worst of it yet :P Those slow-moving storms are a bugger ... some places in the state have received close to 30" of rain! Snakes, fish and alligators were reported on the roadways and airport runways! Ain't paradise grand ?

We're supposed to get hit tonight and tomorrow morning (Ocala area). So I've been trying to eat up the protein goodies in the fridge, in case we lose our power ... bacon 'n eggs for brekkie, turkey 'n cheese for lunch, chicken 'n broccoli for dinner. Got an emergency stash of low-carb shakes and Atkins bars, too (ugh .. the shakes cause bloat! Must be the dairy base, huh?). Plenty of jugs of water on hand. The weather has put a damper on the walking, though ... making do with some basic calisthentics inside. And ... that's about it ... hope y'all are staying dry!

                    Re: Roll Call 08/21/08

Hey peeps, doing well here, had to cover for a fellow employee yesterday so worked 13 hours. Didn't have much of a chance to eat. Did grab one great new offering from the deli in the store, what a shock.. chicken strips wrapped in bacon and deep fried! At Atkineer thought up that little dish, I am sure. They weren't bad. I had expected to be home eating a salad midday, but ended up having to make do with the chicken/bacon strips and turnip greens. By the time I made it home, a piece of string cheese was all I was up to nibbling! I did drink my water. I did get to see the scale nudge down a pound today, but I think it had to! Besides my lunch and string cheese, two fried eggs made up the total of my day. Again.. that was NOT intentional, and I will do better today, get my veggies in.

I hope all have a wonderful day!

                      You've Got Class
Signing up for an exercise class is a great way to add variety to your weekly cardio routine. And let's face it — misery loves company, right? Sweating through all that cardio with companions can be a great motivator.

Just be sure that if it's a cardiovascular class, it involves a minimum of 45 minutes of activity and keeps your heart rate up. Go to your local gym or fitness center and see whether you can get in on one of these bad boys:
Spinning: Climb on the bike and pedal to motivational music and instruction. Spinning doesn't require a whole lot of coordination, and you can keep your own pace; in any case, it's a real calorie-burner.
Step: Start marching up and down to the beat of your step aerobics instructor. The stepping motion offers an extra boost to this cardio workout by adding another level of intensity.
Boot camp: This high-intensity workout will kick your butt — in a good way. It's a combination of cardio and strength training, and it works the whole body.

                        Re: Roll Call 08/21/08

Woke up this morning, didn't feel hungry at all, that was a good sign.
Took the little ones to school, then i went fishing.
I would normally have taken some chocolate, maybe a sandwich or two, a bottle of coke, and flask of coffee made with milk and a couple spoon's of brown sugar.......but not today. Today i took a bottle of water!
I managed to hook three Trout, the knot came out on one hook and the other two managed to snap the line. I was looking forward to having one for my lunch tomorrow, look's like i'll be having something else.
Came home and had some bacon, eggs and spinach and could only eat half of it.
Picked the kid's up from school and then took them to the shop for some goodies. As i passed the beer and wine section i suddenly developed an overwhelming thirst. A bottle of chilled white would have done the job nicely, but i managed to resist.
There's a bit of pork roasting in the oven at the moment, i'm looking forward to that. I'll have some with a nice chilled glass of sparkling......................................... .....water!.

Don't know what time it is with you all, but enjoy the rest of your day.

                          Hey everyone,
Day 4 and I have to admit, although I keep posting, I don't feel as connected to the group as I used to. Are you all out there?

Anyway, I'm hanging through Day 4, but I had a very fierce migraine last night. Was able to squash it with Ibuprofen and hot bath, but whoo-eee, that was really hard. Low blood pressure seems to be an issue, right around 4-5 pm every night. I can feel it in my neck. Anyone else seem to get a stiff neck in the afternoons?

Today was the first day back to school for the kiddos and afterschool, one of my 7-year-olds FINALLY learned to ride her bike. Oh yeah, I was beaming with pride, for sure.

I've been peeing every half hour so I must be doing pretty good on my fluids!

I promised myself I'd never see 200 on the scale again!
