Some of you might remember me, some of you might not, I lost 50 pounds in between 2002- 2003, now im back and ive been a naughty girl, really didnt follow the plan through and ive been on and off it from 2004. Now im back again with the same goal of losing 100 pounds, im sick of always saying this year ill lose the weight. Im semi determined, i live in Shanghai now and eating chinese food is hit and miss.

Im working 2 jobs, studying chinese and mba, so time is so tight. i really dont have much time to cook but im gonna take this one step at a time. Try and make a timetable and a plan. I also quit smoking yesterday its hard hehehehe and to to top it off now there is a German beer fest coming up and my friend's got tickets im like DAMN Why now!!! Im hoping this will be the last time ill go off the track on my new way of life, but i know holiday's are about to come up and im scarred ill buckle under the pressure.

So cheers to all of you second timers or should i just say old timers, we can do this!!!

    Re: hello from shanghai

Welcome back! I too am just returning. I lost 30 lbs. last year on atkins and put it all back on. I have been trying and trying to get back at it, but fail everytime I leave my house. My husband really enjoys eating out. Not that I am a bad cook, he just feels like he is doing me a favor I guess. NOT.

German beer fest in Shanghai - how does that work? Do you really know where your at? ha ha

Yesterday was day one for me. I made it through the whole day - that is a lot considering I have been trying to do that for over 3 months now.

Keep in touch. Maybe we can support one another.

      Re: hello from shanghai

      Heya,
thanks for the cheers, for sure we can support each other, that would be nice. I love eating out i think thats associated with one thing i love which is trying out new things, i love going to restaurants and ordering different meals and tasting them all. I guess i can still do that but now you have to consider that language is a problem asking them to tell me what exactly is in the dish could take a whole hour lol.

Shanghai is very international, i didnt think that it would be this way when i came last year. Ive decided to give away the tickets to the German beer fest it will be too much of a temptation.

      hows day 2?

Okay, so I got to ask... what made you go in the first place. I would love to go to shanghi. I think it would be totally awesome, and a little scary all at the same time.

I would have totally had to give up the german beer fest tickets. I couldnt have made it out of there without a few.

Day two was good. I think I messed up on my lunch though. I had all the good intentions in the world...let me tell you. I ordered a chef salad to go from a mom and pop resturant. Well, I think the meat was deli slices and well... I dont think it was very low carb. I picked though it so maybe I was okay.

I didnt eat anything bad for supper. In fact I stayed away from anything with carbs in it. Maybe I will get away with it.

All I know is that on day three I feel fantastic. My energy level is way up. I fell very clear minded and my tummy no longer hurts. I must be doing something right.

Our stats are very similar I see. How tall are you?

          heya,
ok yesterday was filled with lots of hit and miss when it came to the food in the cafeteria. Im gonna stick to veggies now. I decided to can the diet coke and the coffee, so im sipping on water, dying for coffee lol.

I went to the gym today did a 30 minute workout on treadmill nothing too blood pumping and lifted a few weights but im still yet to workout a fitness plan.

Anyway i had a friend here and id always wanted to come to china, i came to shanghai hoping to start off my engineering career, now im teaching english at a good company but its a dead end job with no prospects of internal transfer. Ive given myself one more year. If i cant get a decent job ill have to leave china go back home or go somewhere else brazil or down under. Shanghai has its ups and downs overall its definetely worth visiting.

lol keep on going babe we can do this
