    Good morning Stacer's!

    Chilly here this AM in the Northeast~~43*. A great day to get outside & walk.

    Have a fantastic low carb day & remember to be good to yourself. Eat well, drink plenty of H20 & get some exercise in today!

        Hi everyone! Ok - just made bacon (came back from the butcher yesterday) YUMMY!!!

        Cranky and busy - just tired I think and frustrated with too much to do.

        Having ham steak tonight for dinner!!!

          Mornin!

          Off to spin class - my indoor triathlon is 1 week from Sat. I keep psyching myself out of it, even though I know I can complete it, I just don't want to SUCK. I'm way too competitive. I don't want to have the worst time of the bunch - stupid, eh?

          Hid the scale - I've never done that before. I haven't weighed myself in 4 days and I don't really care.. I think I'm pretty comfy with where I'm at and maintaining seems to be going well, so I'll wing it and see what happens.

            Hi all. It really is a great day! My DH, who has been away on a trip for 2 weeks, is on his way home, the weather is perfect and I'm on plan. What could be better?

                  I'm here.

                  I'm off to a great start today. I got my exercise in and I'm drinking my water. The only hang up is that I didn't have time to cook or eat breakfast.

                  Oz- really? 43?? that's so cool. It was finally nice this morning on my way in, I live in AZ... its still really hot here

                  Colleen- you are going to do great in your triatholon!

                  It really does seem like a great day!

                    Hello everyone ... it's hard to believe 9/11 happened seven years ago. My prayers to the family and friends who lost loved ones on that terrible day.

                      Well I should have gotten up for a brisk walk but didn't. I had to work 13 1/2 hours again yesterday and this morning just didn't want to get up! I wasn't tired, just comfortable in the bed, and kept dozing off and having cool dreams. I hugged the girls bye when they left and just went right back to sleep. Still getting used to them being in school again!

                      But I measured again and every time I do that it knocks me out! I haven't weighed in a few days (challenge) but my weight loss is somewhere around 20 pounds. My total inches lost in the waist is now 6 and inches in my hips is 4. And the jeans I was wearing yesterday are now baggy in the seat and very loose in the thighs.

                      Hey, it is a good measuring tape. Fairly new, (I sew) and not stretched or anything! I just keep thinking how am I getting this much change out of only 20 pounds!

                      Anyway, other than lazy I am doing well today. Made some flax cereal with coconut oil instead of butter, not bad. Thinking I must surely accomplish SOMETHING today.. laundry maybe!

                        Good Morning everyone. I woke up to rain today. I could barley drag my butt out of bed. But at last here I am. I think I can see changes in my tummy - this morning it just looked flatter. I have thrown my scale out so I have no idea what number I am on. But it was a good feeling to see it just the same... I am on day 10 of induction.
                        How does one become a butterfly?

                          Hi Everybody, Day 4 of my induction. I did great yesterday. Haven't eaten anything yet today, have been talking on the phone to my Mom. Need to get something down, have a busy day coming up. Good to hear of all of your progress and successful maintaing. Colleenieweenie, I'm sure you will do great on your triathlon. Just participating in it is going to be a big victory! How could that suck?

                            Hello all! Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. I'm doing ok. I'm doing fine with the plan and I've been trying to exercise 4-5 times a week. I'm down 2 more lbs this week being on extended induction. Should I have lost more than that? I thought maybe I was eating too much cheese, so I've been limiting that to 2 ozs daily. I have to keep telling myself that slow and steady wins the race... and that 12 lbs. in 3 weeks is pretty good. (And that it took me 5 years to gain this weight! I won't come off overnight.) I just don't feel like my clothes are fitting any different. Good news, though- I got my copy of Dr. Atkins book in the mail 2 days ago and I've starting re-reading it. I just got through the chapter about carb addicts... gosh, how enlightening! Well, I'm going to start OWL on Sat., so I'm looking forward to some more veggies. Can I eat two servings of the same veggie during the day? For example, can I eat 1 c. of tomatoes at lunch and then 1 c. tomatoes at dinner as long as I eat my 2 c. of salad veggies? Or do I have to eat all different kinds of veggies throughout the day? Thanks!
