Well,......... not exactly, but i have given up with the digital scales that i had. Earlier on last week i went to weigh myself, and my scales, not being happy with telling me my weight was going up and down like a yo-yo decided on this occaision to tell me that they were overloaded!.
Anyway i decided after a few more attempt's to weigh myself and not getting the desired reading, it had to be the batteries.
The new batteries went in yesterday........i stepped on........ and still they read overloaded. I asked my 9 year old daughter to have a go......and still, overloaded.
So i decided enough is enough.
Through a mixture of frustration, anxiety and a really bad temper........i threw them in the bin.

I'll go for the mechanical ones next time.

Don't forget that the tape measure is YOUR BEST friend on Atkins! We melt fat OFF...and some times we don't loose as many pounds as we do inches.....I haven't been on a scale for a very long time, I use the clothes I wear as a measurement!

      Re: Given Up

Thank's for that OJ. I haven't bothered getting a new set of scales yet so i've no idea what i've lost since i last got a reading.
My clothes are getting a bit looser though, my energy level's are better even more so after starting on the Vitamin B along with the Multi's. I sleep a lot better, my appetite is virtually non existent and i'm well into the purple.

All i need to do now is to get a new job to get off the night shift.......apart from that, everything is good

      Cheer's

        Re: Given Up

I'm glad to hear that you're sticking with it. After reading several people on here say how important it was to measure, I finally did it. I just put the numbers down in a place where I don't look at them all the time. But in about 6 weeks I plan to look at them again, I just know they will be smaller! It's really hard to stay in the game when the scale doesn't reward me with a change. Good to know you're keeping on....

          Thank's redfoxglove.
One of the best thing's about it all now is that there are no more craving's for thing's that i really shouldn't have, which before was one of my biggest weaknesses. And that is more than half the battle, for me anyway.
I'm not to bothered about measuring myself, just noticing how my clothes are feeling a bit looser every now and then is enough.

I do have a bit of an obsession with the Ketostix though!!.

            Re: Given Up

How funny! A couple months ago I was clearing out some of my stuff from a former roommate's house, and I looked once, twice, three times at the Ketostix I had left over from last year. I can't find them so I think I threw them out, I remember thinking, "even if I go back to Atkins I don't want to obsess on these things again!"
