    Good morning Stacer's

    I hope everyone in the path of Hurricane Ike is safe. Let us keep them in our thoughts.

    As I watch the news this morning I am grateful for all I have. Hope you all have a wonderful low carb day & take a moment to smell the roses!

    Yes, hope the very best for all those in Hurricane Ike's path. Here in Austin, all we've got from it so far today are grey skies and windy, but s'posed to start raining soon through tomorrow. Nothing serious at all here. But yeah, we've been tracking this storm and watching it and it's damage.

    All's on track for me as I check in today. After switching from Splenda to a stevia product called Sweetleaf, I'm happy to report my stall has been broken. Lost 6.5 pounds this week. Yippee!!!

      My sympathies to all who live in Texas ... got a friend in Houston and she and her DH have a weekend home in Galveston ... at this point, it's probably had a weekend home, but I sure hope not.

      GBE, awesome loss this week! Let's hear it for Stevia, then.

        still waiting for the blow here too! Starting to see little gusts.

        Down to 221 from start weight of 242, Atkins rocks! I can't get motivated to exercise today though with the weird weather, and I actually feel tempted to eat 'off the menu' items. I guess I will go fix a big glass of water!

        Good post Glenda, I am grateful I am home with family and feel relatively safe. I will probably be feeling safe in the dark soon, but we are all together and well.

          hello! I'm still here. I'm so close to a stall...no lbs this week, only 1.5 inches including a loss from a hormonal gain of an inch. I shouldn't be disappointed about loss, but it just seems so small! LOL!

            Remember per Dr. A regarding a plateau~~~"You have experienced no weight loss or loss of inches for at least four weeks. (Increased muscle mass will deceive the scale because muscle weighs more than fat--but inches will continue to disappear.)

            A loss is a loss if it is an inch or 6 inches! A loss is a reason to celebrate!

                Hi Everyone, I am on Day 7. On Friday I went for dinner with a GF who I've not seen in 6 months, and decided to have a couple of vodka drinks. The dinner was totally Atkins friendly, but for Induction the vodka was not. But I'm okay with it, it was a conscious choice. It blows my "clean induction" goal. But I got up Saturday and stuck to the plan all day, and intend to do so today as well. I've not re-measured but can see that my belly is smaller, my jeans fit looser in the hips, and several pounds have melted away. It's so, so motivating to check in to the site and see the progress of others, and also to see how people choose to meet the challenges. My goal for this week is to do either 15 minutes of exercise biking or walking each day. So everyone have a good week, and a peaceful Sunday...

                Goal 3: Walk, exercise bike, golf, or yoga 15-30 min, 3x/wk. Consistency counts more than anything.
