  • I am back again. Fell off for a week and need encouragement!!!

    Well, I fell off for a week and am going to restart induction. I really need this to work. I think I fell of due to my husband going out of town. I am so frustrated with myself. So I am going to give it all that I have got this time around. So here I go.
    My starting weight is 199. My first mini goal is to reach 190. I need all the help I can get.
    Start Weight-218
    Current Weight- 205

    Mini Goals:

    1 goal weight: 210 Met on August, 4 2009
    2 goal weight: 200
    3 goal weight: 190
    4 goal weight: 180

    Have you read Chapter 21 in the DANDR? It's called "The Psychology of Weight Loss". I read it (again) last night. My triggers are a little different, I get triggered by positive things. If I've been really successful I tend to celebrate and sometimes my choices aren't that good. But this chapter deals mostly with harder things like emotional eating. You might feel guided and inspired by what Dr. Atkins has to offer there...

    9-8-08, met on 9-21-08: -6.3 lb, -7.75 inches WOO HOO!

    Goal 2: Lose 10% bodyweight, 19.6 pounds

    Goal 3: Walk, exercise bike, golf, or yoga 15-30 min, 3x/wk. Consistency counts more than anything.

    DON'T START OVER, GO FORWARD!

      But you came back and that's the important thing, Tulip! If I didn't check in here at least twice a day, join the challenges, read the posts, and comment, it would be very difficult for me to do this on my own. Don't think I could! But if I can do it, you can do it!

        There's another paragraph in the DANDR that might help (I just read it for the first time last night), it's in the "Lifetime Maintenance" chapter and it is titled "Protect Your Weight Losses." Dr. Atkins makes reference to how to become creatively in control by switching back to Induction when we've had a "blow-it" month or two. You're not in Maintenance, but I'm sure you want to protect your weight loss, so far it's been really great!
