    How can it be so far into Sept already!

    I am not feeling chipper or motivated today, I am feeling annoyed. (Nothing to do with my WOE.) Teen daughter seems to have pinkeye, so got to figure out a Dr. visit Monday if possible before work. Let her stay home Thurs and Fri hoping it is the viral form and will start to clear, but it isn't clearing. I need to clean house. Do I want to? Nope! Too many things on my to do list, makes me feel weighed down! But I will get off this computer, get some music going and get on it. I'll feel better later.

    manymom (mini-mom), your example is super inspiring. I am feeling pulled in several directions today, not sure which is more important. After I get off here I'm going to make a list and try to set a priority.

    Woke up this morning, my first thought was, I know there are some Atkineers doing major athletic events today, I can't wait to hear about it!

    Today is Day 13 for me. On Day 8 made the mistake (through not reading carefully) of making and eating 3/8 of a key lime pie (over 4 days) containing aspartame! You got it, my scale did not register a change from Day 8 until today. I thought SF jello was okay b/c it didn't have carbs! But I did not think it through, the "rules" of induction are nothing that does not appear on the list! And aspartame, I'm not sure if it's written down by Dr. A or the conventional wisdom, but it's definitely not a good ingredient. Some call it cheating, some call it making excuses, I call it learn by doing. On the other hand, not sure if aspartame certainly did "stall" me, as my clothes were getting bigger all the time. My jeans are all an inch too long now, even the shortest ones.

    But today, a significant drop in the scale! Yay! Eager to see what my measurements say tomorrow. Everyone have a great day...

    Goal 2: Lose 10% bodyweight, 19.6 pounds

    Goal 3: Walk, exercise bike, golf, or yoga 15-30 min, 3x/wk. Consistency counts more than anything.

    DON'T START OVER, GO FORWARD!

      Beautiful day here, hi all. I've had a very busy week, definitely ready to relax for the weekend. The scales only gave up 1 1/4 for me, but I know I overate on salty foods due mainly to the stress of the week. Funny thing, my old way of dealing with stress was eating a lot of sugar & carbs. Guess salty's better than sugar & carbs, lol. But I'm making a note that I need to try and steer myself towards more exercise for stress, but then again, when you're sooooo busy, there's no time, lol. Got to think on that some more.

      I'm definitely getting outside to enjoy the day now. Ya'll have a great weekend!

        I'm here but I'm off plan. Last night I started getting way sick, fever chills, sore throat, headache, tummy distress. I would have thought it was just induction flu if my throat wasn't so sore I couldn't swallow. One of my sons and my Girl Scout co-leader have had strep throat in the last two weeks and I think I have caught it from one of them. I know its not an excuse, and doesn't make any sense, but I just needed some comfort food. I didn't get to the grocery store as planned becasue I felt like crap, and I just let it all go. But I'm back because I'm not giving up. Going to try and make it to the grocery store if I don't feel too bad tomorrow and immediately resume this woe.
        1st Goal ~ 199 Onderland -Met 3/29/10
        2nd Goal ~ 174 No longer obese
        3rd Goal ~ 150 In the home stretch
        Final Goal ~ 145 or below (I'll know when I get there) No longer overweight

        Current Mini Goals:
        1) 35 pounds lost
        2) 40 pounds lost to move to Rung 5
        3) 45 pounds lost to update 15 pound loss picture series

              Hello everyone This is my first time participating here. I'm on day 6 of Induction! Doing well too. No cheating and no major temptations. Can't wait for the weather too cool off so I can take the baby for walks during the day!

                HI All! Thanks to momtomany1 for letting me know about this forum had posted in the regular section but this will be a great place to hang out! On day 2 of induction- really easy (so far) - dying to weigh but trying to resist until closer to the end of my first wk....
