    Another day Stacers.
    I got up today starting day 2 back in control and felt my stomach to see if it felt flatter. Not really, not yet. My brain was already hyper calculating things when I realized "expectations" walked into the room!

    Expectation that one day will make a world of difference to my figure. I had to chuckle at myself, realizing I've not changed much, I still expect alot out of very little.

    Next thing I had to do was employ a good mental attitude to help with the disappointment my expectation created! I decided I had no choice but to be patient. It could take all fall to get back to my size 6 jeans. It could take all the way to christmas for all I know. The only way back is with a patient consistent focused mental attitude.

    Patience and allowing my body to shift back to fat burning. Patience and just go live life instead of wait around for the weight to drop. It will drop, but not at the speed I wanted it too...But while I was eating all the bad food, I certainly didn't care about my weight, like I do today.....But my body is not fickle, it's smart and it will adjust all over again. It cannot give me exactly what I want when I want it.....after all I wanted to food I ate to increase the weight too.

      Good morning Jess. I know what you mean about expectations. In me, they sometimes derail my efforts because I want too much too soon, so I just take it one day at a time and whatever will be, will be.

      I have been so busy reading the threads lately that I haven't been posting here very often. So today I'm back. Good luck STACers!

        Good Morning.. Day 3...and I didn't weigh again and I do feel less bloated even with TOM here... That is a good sign..

        Well something big happened yesterday.. I am in a Yahoo Group with a bunch of women.. We have been together for over 8 years.. Well yesterday there was a big blow up and I quit the group and then the group was closed down.. These are women that we have been through a lot.. I did not seek comfort food! For that I am so proud of myself....

        I was determined to not let the actions of one in that group mess up what I have been fighting for the last two days.

        I do feel better today.. My head isn't killing me like yesterday...

          Good Morning! Off to make some cream cheese pancakes for breakfast but I wanted to check in first. Laptop died last week, then it worked for a bit and then it didn't so my access right now is spotty.

          Weighed in this morning, down 1.7lbs for the week and also took my 2 week measurements... down another 7.25inches - grand total is 8.7lbs and 23.25 inches lost in 4 weeks. Trucking along to meet my goals!

            the weather change/change of season is just not agreeing with me! I'm soooo tired. and today I'm more sore than yesterday from derby practice, and I HAVE to do my related exercises tonight. maybe that'll help.

              What a good morning this is, thanks in part to all the inspiration from you fellow STACrs. I know for sure that without this community I would not be keeping on.

              Jess, you truly show me the way with your self talk. Derby girl, you are making huge strides with this new endeavor. Sandy, you are totally victorious over the blowup that happened, and since I recently had a similar experience, I can identify. And yes, LMB, I agree, a heroic amount of inches! If you haven't had a chance, read my story of Successful Induction on the 14-day Induction forum...

              Because of all the great feedback from Elizellen on my induction thread, I've decided to go on to OWL. Really intrigued to go through the process and learn some specifics about my body/my laboratory.

              There have been several posting here in the last couple of days who said they were just joining this forum, I've been too busy to say HI since I've been working hard to make my decision whether to go on to OWL or stay in Induction. It's great to see your posts in this forum, keep on posting! For me, the posting and reading of others' successes and challenges is a huge part of my keeping on...

                Good morning all. 1 full week completed now, and I'm down 6.5 lbs. I have been working out regularly, and am starting to feel really good about the progress I am making. Now it's off to make some breakfast and off to work. Have a good one everyone!

                  Ditto for me Jess!

                  I am so impatient for the pounds to come off. I pulled out some clothes that used to fit and tried most of the ones on that were the next size down and was so pleased that most of them fit (I don't want to buy any new ones until I have to).

                  So, what did that do but make me want to hurry up and be in the next size down from that- LOL. I didn't pull those clothes out yet, hopefully I can do that in the next two weeks, but I certainly hear you about expectations and patience. Last time I did this, the weight seemed to fall off - but that was long enough ago that I might have forgotten!!!

                  I did finally give up my second cup of coffee this week, so I am now at just the one (just cannot bear to give that one up!) and exercising will be my next addition - I just cannot do the whole shebang at once - I have to go in stages or I get overwhelmed and don't follow through.

                  Anyway, good luck everyone and hope today is good day for all!

                    Hello, hello!

                    Heading off to the gym in a few - I don't like working out later in the day - My energy is usually sucked out of me by my kids around noon...
                    Haven't a clue what I plan on doing.. Maybe a little 10,10,10 - 10 min sprint on treadmill, 10 min running up stairs, 10 min rollerblading machine followed by lower body resistance - Sounds good!
                    Playgroup at my casa this morning - always good to see my mom pals and trade stories of poop, barf and children of the corn fights...

                      So today I am driving Brittany to dance.. and I thought.. Hmm on the way home I am going to stop and get gas and get maybe two Hershey Bars.. So then I keep driving.. Let Brittany out and I start driving back home and I thought.. What??? What was I thinking.. I can't and don't NEED two candy bars.... Grrrr.. So I skipped getting gas for now and will go before I pick Brittany back up.

                      That is how addicted I am to sugar.. I didn't even think twice about it...GRRR

                          Jess I totally feel your vibe on expectations! I thought I would have lost more weight/inches - gained more muscle-be more toned by now. I am the one that sets the mental goals or expectations of where i want to be by when... my body definately has other plans for me!!

                          I just have to keep saying to myself "there's no way it cannot work,keep doing what you are doing" sometimes it helps .. sometimes it annoys the >blank< out of me! LOL

                          Sandy - glad to see you back again too - keep at it one day, one meal at a time.
