  • Roll Call Saturday, 9-27

Happy weekend everyone. I really wanted to cheat last night, I mean REALLY. It's been another incredibly stressful week. Thank goodness I had no cheaty foods in the house, so I made it through without a cheat.

Hope everyone has a beautiful and great weekend. Keep on keepin on!

I made it through last night too even though my daughter and son-in-law were preparing a lot of foods that I can't eat. I stuck with one piece of fried fish and a salad.

Have a great, cheat free day!

I also thought about jumping off the wagon. Lots of stress & being overtired certainly don't help matters. Ate as I should & went to bed early.

      Have a great day everyone!

every time I think of going off the wagon, I remind myself that I'll go back to burning sugar as fuel, and also of how fast I put on weight this last go-around. so far, it's working.

I'm still not feeling up to par, had the weird sore throat this week and now feel weak. maybe I'll go to the doc. it RUINED my practice last night. I finished the warm up and totally felt like I was going to throw up, so I stopped and watched the rest of it. so frustrating.

anyway! hope you're all feeling good!

          Morning everyone!

Frustrated and just plain pissed off this morning...

I have a "friend" who is always trying to sell something. She is involved with a self help org that sponsors workshops that I have told her before I am not interested in. I got a message from her this morning asking for my hubby's cell number because " Even though I know you don't support it, it would be so good for him and would work so well with his personality" Eat me. My view is this. The first time I tell you NO should be the last time I have to do so. If I wanted something, one of your products or services, I would ask you.
Needless to say I think this "friendship" is on it's way out - which is fine. Sad as it may be, I don't really have a problem cutting people out. I don't have the time or energy to put up with crap...

Anyone ever have one of these "pals"??

Other than that - Things are swell! Taking the Chitlins to Barnes & Noble for Storytime. Then off for a run, then a 5 year olds B-day party.

Hope everyone has a smiley happy Saturday!

colleenie, what nerve that woman has! my first thought was about what happened to faith hill and her husband at that concert when that fan grabbed him in his private area and faith got all over that woman! i'm glad to hear you have no problem cutting her out. if someone asked me for my husband's cell phone number they might be getting a new hairdo!

Sounds like others are having challenges, the same as me...yesterday I gave in to a small indulgence, "BBs" which are cocoa powder, pnut butter, sesame seeds, turbinado sugar and some kind of oil, rolled up in a ball and rolled in coconut. I had 2, they are about the size of large gumballs. Not a horrible cheat but definitely off plan.

So this morning I wake up and my first thought was, mmm....pumpkin treat with lots of whipped cream! Now is THAT what you call a craving that resulted from my cheat? I think so... And did I respond with some real protein and veggies? NO WAY! I had pumpkin treat for breakfast!

            I feel sinfully mischevious.

steady, it sounds like you have a virus, to me. rest and sleep and lots of water are the remedies I do for myself in that instance. I hope you get over it soon.

Hope everybody has a great weekend...I'm going to hear a friend of mine play Celtic music at the River Festival...HAVE FUN!!

Colleen, I had a "pal" like that once too. And I say "had", because she just was too high maintenance, and very controlling. And as you say, life is just too short to have to deal with people like that. I still see her, but it's from afar now, and more cordial than anything else!

I've got a challenging 5 days of dinners, parties, & luncheons. But I am determined to pick and choose what I will eat, and be deligent about it. I've now been on plan for 2 weeks, more or less doing owl, and finding it a smooth sail so far. This will definately be a test of will power and mind over matter. Hope to report back good things! Have a great weekend all.

Good for you all who resisted! Honestly, I can see 'treats' and just basically not care too much. I will say though, that when I was making breakfast for hubby (whole wheat english muffins with egg, cheese and ham) I was thinking that muffin sure smelled good!

Got in a nice workout at the gym, only had to work a couple of hours today at work. Came home and tucked into the leftover greek salad I made last night. Gotta go scare up some protein/ fat now!

                have a super weekend all!

                  Re: Roll Call Saturday, 9-27

Just getting a chance to check in. Had a busy busy day. Started with taking dd to ballet at 9, then headed out to town (we're about 30 miles from the nearest large shopping area), and spent all day shopping. Not even the fun kind of shopping, just the kind where you have to get a bunch of things and stop at many different stores. We were gone for 9 hours. At least I got plenty of walking in today. Lunch was a challenge, becuase dh and dd wanted McD's, so I just got a burger and took it off the bun and a bottle of water, but I was pretty hungry until I got home and had some dinner.
