  • Messed up! Need some support!

I restarted Atkins after being off the program for about 5 months with about maybe a 5 pound weight gain. Yesterday would have been my 10th day of induction, and i was doing really well....for breakfast scrambled eggs with mushrooms. But then I went out for lunch with a friend......needless to say the roll on the table was very appetizing and i had one along with 2 chocolate chip cookies. I went right back to the program for dinner eating grilled salmon with broccoli and lots of water. How bad was this mistake? I hope i didn't kick myself out of ketosis. But i must say i do go to the gym and work the elliptical machine 4-5 days a week, and i will be going today!!

Don't beat yourself up about it; just jump right back on the Atkins bandwagon and keep your eye on the prize ... a slimmer, healthier you! (And don't do it again! )

So you had a little screw-up... Just jump back on the Atkins train and don't look back. Be kind to yourself, you're human, we make some not so smart decisions - that's why we're here!
You can totally do this - Best of luck!

Even if it did set back your ketosis clock a little, it's not a huge mistake, just pretend it's daylight savings time, spring forward by getting back on the program and don't look back. Look ahead to your next snack or meal and know what that's going to be.

Yeah dont let this stop you just keep moving forward !!! and just remember how you 'felt' after you ate the roll and cookies .. Did you feel Good? Did you feel satisfied? Seems more like you felt upset and became angry at yourself and if your like me you probably felt like a failure too... Now remember how you 'felt' the last time you saw the weight on the scale drop.... i bet it felt better and made you more satisfied then that cookie didnt it...

              EXACTLY, Sarah!

I made a sign and put it on my fridge to stare at me whenever I have a moment...
              It basically says -

Remember how you felt after scarfing down those cookies. How they made you feel sick, how they made you doubt yourself, how they made you feel super disappointed with yourself, how much better you feel when you eat healthy and clean. Yada, yada, yada...

Seeing the sign really helps make me do a uturn, when I am going for the ready to bake cookies (my serious weakness..)

Cachejo - You're doing a great job - Keep it up!
