  • Roll Call Tuesday Sept 30

    Mornin all. Well, I actually haven't been to bed yet, stealing sleep time to try and get things done after everyone else went to bed. Been doing a lot of that lately, lol.

    I've learned something new this month which is, don't try to do too many adbb challenges in one month, especially when it's already a busy time. This month I took on the weigh-no-weigh, water-challenge, mileage-challenge, and abs-challenge. All of these things were already what I was doing so completing them was easy, but it was just keeping it all straight to be sure to report into all of them in the forums for the correct times-per-week, lol. Think for this next month, I'll just read and write in the forums and not try to keep up with reporting for challenges.

    Oh I think you should have at least one challenge going at all times, to keep your focus and keep your behavior engaged and modifying all along the way. We need to constantly be dealing with our behavior and changing, or when we loose the weight, we don't return to old ways of eating...Which we have all found are right there waiting for us to struggle with all over again!

      I'm here and checking in, nothing new to report. Just wishing you all a great Atkins day!
      1st Goal ~ 199 Onderland -Met 3/29/10
      2nd Goal ~ 174 No longer obese
      3rd Goal ~ 150 In the home stretch
      Final Goal ~ 145 or below (I'll know when I get there) No longer overweight

      Current Mini Goals:
      1) 35 pounds lost
      2) 40 pounds lost to move to Rung 5
      3) 45 pounds lost to update 15 pound loss picture series

        GBM – I too joined 3 challenges – 2 of which I had no idea how many push-ups/abs reps I could do. NOW I do … and it ain’t pretty! LOL I got lost in the mix of posting each day and some times have to play catch up and fill in missing days of workouts/reps. What seems to be the great thing about it is that now I know how many push-ups would be a challenge for me to do!! I like having a gauge to measure my progress by – and posting reps/miles does exactly that for me J

        Jess – I agree it helps to stay consistently engaged in an activity and the challenges help keep us accountable! If I treated my foods as complacently as I have my exercise I would still be 220lbs right now if not heavier!

              Hello there, Atkineers! "Challenge Saturation" ... oh, I can relate to that I think they're great and absolutely help you stay on point, but from now on I'm limiting myself to two at a time! It does get a bit, um, confusing

                Hello everyone. I don't check in often. I am going to try to do so daily now. I am really frustrated with my loss (or lack thereof). My first time around it seemed like the weight just melted off! I lost 90lbs. in 9 months. This time its going much slower.

                    I've had the same problem, I have lot 30 lbs the first monh and then 15lbs the next month. went off had a few babies (3) and then I went back on it an lost 57lbs. But since the 57lbs I have not been able to lose this 20lbs I have put back on, I go on Atkins and I seem to lose nothing and get off of atkins. So That is why I am here and I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I went to the Library and checked out 4 Dr. Atkins books for some info.
