At the beginning of induction my hubby and I got food poisoning. I had ate salad before we got sick (we don't think it was the salad) but since I got ill after eating it I have no "taste" or desire for it. I've tried several different legal salad dressing recipies, I've tried mixing up the things I put in the salad, I even tried salad without dressing and each time I've forced myself to eat at little bit of it but it's made me nausous to do so and then today the mere first taste of it made me have dry heaves.
From what I read in the book I need to have at least two cups of salad and only one cup of the veggies or three cups of salad. All equaling up to 20 carbs.
Will it cause me too many problems to just eat up to 20 carbs of the 'other vegetables'?
Being sick for that time in the first few days made my body go into starvation mode or something because I'm on day 9 and haven't lost a pound, in fact I gained half a pound. I know that I'm in ketosis though because my breath could kill a buffalo at 30 paces in the morning and the sticks have shown myself above trace amounts.
Argh... I feel disheartened. When I was on atkins before and lost good weight I had no problem with salad. It was main part of each meal. Sometimes it was the meal.
