Hi all!!! I am kinda new to Atkins myself, but did try it back in March or April of this year. Things went completely out of control when my oldest son, who is a Marine, told me he was off to Okinawa, Japan for 2 years... So, when he left, I ate everything in sight trying to find 'comfort'.... Then came ballgames for the younger two boys (9 and 11), then VBS at my church and finally we started school the first week in August. (I homeschool my children). All told, I went from about 183 to 202!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How embarrassing... The only time I have ever been this size, was when I was pregnant with the last child, over 9 years ago...
SO... I decided to give Atkins another shot... I 'lurked' on the boards here over the summer and found comfort in all the accomplishments that you guys have had and are having and decided to go for it!!! I started on September 27 and have been one week in, as of yesterday.. And the grand total of pounds lost in one week is...Drum roll please.....10.4 pounds
Yes, you read that right... 10.4 pounds.... I am so serious about losing weight this time that I am going to succeed at it.. I don't think I gave myself enough time the last time.. Josh came home with that news about mid week of Induction week 2 and I just went completely downhill... Not this time... And I don't care if it is water weight, fat weight, whatever, I am just jumping stumps down here in NC over this 10 pound loss!!!
Good luck to everyone who is trying the "second" time around... Believe me it works just as good or even better than the first time... I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for reading this long post... Just had to share!
