  • Gonna Try Again!!!!

I have found induction to be both pleasing and difficult. My difficulties lie with breakfast. I have a hard time eating eggs with no bread. I only need 1 slice but I find it hard to eat eggs without that slice. I am really going to try this time to get a clean induction!! Wish me luck, please.

Best of luck, John ... you can do it! Hang in there and you won't miss the bread after awhile. How 'bout some nice bacon or sausage instead? ... yummy!

    You CAN do this!

I'm with FLdoodette, just hang in there a few days and you won't think about bread anymore. With eggs, have you tried a veggie saute? It's so quick and easy. For 1 person, 1/2 small onion or 1/3, 1 zucchini or 1 yellow squash, 1/2 red bell pepper, a good handful of mushrooms, and garlic. Douse the pan liberally with good quality olive oil, and I try to put the veggies in the pan in this order, b/c some take longer to cook than others: mushrooms, onion, pepper, garlic, squash. At the end, scramble up 2-3 eggs and throw in, stir around and you've got a marvelous breakfast saute. Guaratneed, you won't think about bread when you get done with this meal, it is so filling and so delicious. Good luck, stay on the board, you'll learn a lot and stay motivated.

          Hi JohnC

I know exactly how you feel. Egg's without a slice of toast, for me, just aren't the same!
But you do get used to the idea, i'm not saying you won't still miss the odd loaf now and again because we probably all do!. Once you see the benefit's and the weight falling off, and you don't have that heavy lethargic feeling when you put your knife and fork down, you'll feel (or you should) better for not having any.
I was just thinking about it the other day, 2 month's now since i've had a sandwich, and i used to enjoy my bread big time!
I'll sometimes have pork rind's with my egg's, failing that, double up on the bacon and sausage. Try different way's of having your egg's and so making them a bit more interesting!

All the best with it anyway, and stick in!
