  • a quick update

A quick update, day 1, great, day 2 great, day 3 fail, day 4 great, day 5 working on it and doing good so far.

I've gone up 1 pound dropped down 3, gone up 4, gone down 2. rofl. I'm at exactly where I started which is a little frustrating but I'm not giving up.

The reason I bombed: there was no food in the house and I had 200 set aside in the bank account for groceries and my dear husband thought "Oh, well, we're getting paid tomorrow" so he went and blew it on a toy. I had nothing but cruddy carb stuff in the house, pasta, rice, potatoes, and hot pockets in the house. sigh... The next day though when payday arrived I got to the store asap and loaded the house with stuff.

Does anyone ever feel that while there's plenty to eat, it seems still like "oh, let's see, my choices are eggs, or have to defrost something.. sigh..." and I'm trying to stay out of my cheese bites cuz we're not supposed to have too much of those. It's frustrating. What's a good thing to have in the fridge to eat other than eggs when you know you can't have a quick something like a sandwich?

I make a big batch of baked chicken legs. They are even okay cold!

that's not a bad idea. What's the longest they can stay in the fridge before going bad? I found a package of tyson chicken strips (no fillers) in my freezer last night with directions on how to cook frozen, I was so freakin' happy. So I cooked those up for a fast dinner.
