  • Hello everyone!

    Hi

I'm not sure if anyone remembers me but I was doing really well on Atkins earlier this year and then my father got taken critically ill. I managed to stick to plan for about a month (during which my Dad was in ICU) but then just found it too difficult and ended up collapsing in the night (I was hardly eating anything).

To cut a long story short, my Dad was in hospital for three months but is now recovering at home (which was against the odds). He is doing well.

In September, I was diagnosed with a complex ovarian cyst and had a laparoscopy - thankfully it was a normal cyst with a blood clot in it and not as bad as it appeared on the ultrasound.

I desperately need to get back in control of my eating and am planning to start induction on Monday so will be back for the roll call.

My husband really doesn't want me to do Atkins again as he is sure it made me ill last time although my blood results were excellent. I am going to have my high fat foods for breakfast and lunch when he is at work and then a low carb (and not too high low carb) dinner that he can eat too.

I hope you are all well.
