    So ive been reading this forum for a long time now. And its been very helpful..but not im posting because this is my second time around and the induction flu is kicking my ***..the first time no flu and i lost 25 lbs and felt amazing till i went on a trip to miami and a cuban sanwich knocked me off the wagon. Although i went back to my old habits i only gained 6 or 7 lbs back from the 25 i lost wierd..maybe it was my habit of using splenda and no much sugar i did have my bad nights of cake though lol...

    So anyway here i am again 7 days on induction already lost about 5 or 6 lbs and i feel like poop..not sleeping, crazy headache that wont go away its driving me up the wall i need some support my partner indulges in zebra cakes everynight and if you know what they are its like a slice of processed after school kid snack from heaven lol and last night during my intense head pains and not sleeping all i could do was stare one down he left on the coffee table but i didnt break..im really hoping this will pass soon....

    Also im doin atkins a little different this time with more veggies and lean meat cause im not to crazy about overdosing on fats its to much for my stomach and i get a lil psycho over reading all the bad stuff people say about the diet but then again i look what i eat mostly veggies eggs and lean meat and how can that be bad but the thought is still there my own issues..but im still losing just the same so im happy about that..

    So i just wanted to say hello Im Dave and im a carb addict and im ready for a change......again....

    Make sure you are getting enough water - that always helps me.

      Welcome back, Dave. You should be feeling better real soon and the cravings should be gone too.

      About the fat, Atkins is a high fat diet so don't try to do low fat because it won't work as well. There is a point between tons of fat and just enough and you should know it when you get there by the way you feel and the amount you're losing. Track you carbs and don't worry too much about the fat at first. As you move up through the rungs, you will be cutting some of the fat as you start eating more carbs so you don't stay on the high fat forever.

        Your fat doesn't have to come from fatty meats. Try really good oils like grapeseed, olive, etc. and eat butter and cream, olives, avocados, etc.
