Okay, maybe it wasn't just the coffee. I've had a weird few weeks, I decided not to weigh until a doctors appt I have coming up in November... at the same time I switched from Splenda to Stevia packets for my coffee. I was drinking decaf with cream & a bit of the packet. Oh my goodness the CRAVINGS! I was craving carbs like crazy. It wasn't pretty. I was craving coffee more too. For well over a week I was crazy for coffee, not sleeping well, when I did sleep I was dreaming of carbs! I've never done that. I switched back to Splenda but at that point I was drinking coffee ALOT, regular coffee and it way more than my usual few sips of a cup in the morning. So, the cream intake was obviously way up too. I caught it though, when I jumped on the scale this past monday (after noticing my jeans were snug) and saw that I had gained. I'm on day 4 of no coffee, no cream, no sweeteners. I've given up the sweetener all together for now, cream I'm thinking I'll re-introduce next week (I love it in my pumpkin!)
Funny thing is, I never thought that coffee had much of an effect on me but I really think that it does. Splenda wasn't agreeing with me so much (stomach issues) and I know I OD'd on the cream. I'm glad that I caught it though! I also need to weigh weekly so that I can keep tabs on any issues that may come up.
