  • starting tomorrow

well i have decided to try again, with the advise i have been given i am ready to do it the third and final time.

I do hate the first week though theres so much adjusting..but it will be worth it..need to learn weight for my health this time and not for vanities sake.

Kind of excited as well...i love that feeling when you are losing weight..

There is only one thing that bothers me about atkins and that is the breath thing. I get very conscious around people as i know my breath changes. any advise on that one.

    Good luck Jacqui

I know what you mean about the breath thing - I also feel very self conscious. I drink water as much as possible as that helps and also carry a breath spray and use a really good mouth wash (it's called retardex here in the UK) x

What I do is carry my toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss and a small bottle of mouthwash with me everywhere I go, and then I can "refresh" whenever I feel like it. Call it OCD, but when you're away the whole day it does make a difference.

Drinking a lot of water also helps, as long as you don't go too long without eating.

        Re: starting tomorrow

        Hello There,
We are going to have the same "restart date"

Like you, I am doing this largely for health reasons. Diabetes runs in my family. In the past, I tested consistently as pre-diabetic. After I started the Atkins WOE, my blood sugar tested consistently in the normal range. Then I fell off the wagon and gained weight. I am now NOT at a healthy BMI.Also, my knees and feet are really starting to bother me.

Looking good is nice, but feeling good and being healthy is essential.

Best wishes to you. You can do it
