You will love it. Don't stop going because it hurts.

My advice, as a personal trainer who doesn't work in the field she got her degree in but still has the knowledge, don't exercise your upper and lower body on your first trip. If you're going to do cardio, start with an exercise bike, and work your lower body only... and every other trip alternate your upper and lower body.

If you need any exercise tips, let me know

Yes, as one studying to be certified in Fitness presently, I would also add that make this enjoyable and slowly work your way into it. Just walking on a treadmill for 20mins, or stationary biking or elliptical....
When I started working out 2 yrs ago, I just worked on getting on the stationary bike for 20 mins at a time. Then I added doing it 5 days a week, then I made sure to do it right after a cup of coffee, so it was done. Progressive steps that ensured I got activity in my life in a manageable dose. Later I upped the mileage and eventually the intensity. Now I do intense interval training. But I could NEVER have gotten this far without the daily little steps.

Meli, good for you for making the effort to start exercising! I would recommend that you join one of the exercise challenges here on the board because they provide the motivation to keep going. You choose what exercise to do and when and how you do it, and then just post your progress everyday on the chart. It's easy and really keeps you going because you want to earn the slug free button you get if you exercise the number of days you said you would in the beginning. I know I would never have gotten the amount of exercise I do now if it weren't for the challenges. They're great.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.
