  • I'm back! ....Again...

    I'm so definitely a STAC-er...I was doing well but then for the past couple of months I've been starting and stopping over and over again. No more!! I had so much resolve and did so well at the beginning of the year but it's gone downhill since summer. I'm ready to do well again! I was doing the best when I was here and getting support from you guys and giving my support to others. It is so much easier to do this when you're part of a community. So here I am again, And I'm ready to get to goal! I'm still 36 lbs down from where I started in January so only about forty pounds left...sounds a bit daunting but I want to be healthy. I'm ready for this! I would really appreciate any messages of support! Thank you, Thank you!

    OMG I could of wrote the same post. I also have been back and fourth on and off i do well a day or two then fall off again. I was doing so well at the start of the year and lost 20 and then life got in the way and then drama, a move and work, kids and more work. I know there is no excuse but its hard to stay focused when your pulled a million different ways and drained.

    ANyway I started back today and my husband will be back from Iraq in Jan and I want to show him an amazing hot new me. =)

    We can do this and make it work this time.. Its hard but this is a great board with the best support. Feel free to message me if you want to exchange notes.

      Thank you so much, Aussieinaz! We can definitely do this!! And I would love to message you, feel free to get in touch with me too! Especially during the first few days it is harder to stay strong so it is good to have that support system! Good luck with your second day!

        Welcome back Amy, take off your shoes, sit for a spell, no wait, better get to the grochery store and cookin, since you've been gone for a while, I suggest you cook dinner tonight, we'll be ready when you are!

          (((((((((AMY!!!)))))))))) so glad to see you back!
          I came back four weeks ago. You may remember my Dad was really ill in hospital and I ended up falling off the Atkins wagon, gaining all the weight plus two pounds.... I am so glad to see you have kept it all off.

          I have terrible flu and you have cheered me up so thanks

                Yay!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful support! I am so pleased to be back! My day has been great (despite a hellish day at work) because I feel so empowered! Phew, I feel like a weight has been lifted now that I have really recommitted myself to it! Ha! A metaphorical weight and now it will be literal weight as well!

                Jess, I'm happy to cook and I went to the grocery store yesterday to stock up for starting back so I'm ready to go! What would you like tonight?

                Zarabelle, I am so glad you are back, too! We can do this!!! Is your Dad better? I hope you feel better very soon!! I had a pretty hectic day and you've really cheered me up, too!!

                  Hello!
                  Yes, Dad is much better thank you. He was in hospital for three months in the end (three weeks in ICU). It was a horrible time. I then had a cancer scare - they found a complex cyst on my ovary in August but thankfully, when they operated they found it was a normal, functional cyst and the scan I had on Monday confirmed it had completely gone.

                  Anyway, the year can only get better and I am so happy to be back. I did check whether you had been around a month ago and so am really pleased you're here now! I have some catching up to do - I am at 210.5!

                    Zara, I'm really glad that your Dad is better and so so happy that your cyst turned out to be normal! I'm sure it must have been really hard on you! And now you're back and you can catch up! I totally believe you can do it! How have you been doing for the past four weeks? I bet you'll be in onederland by Christmas!

                    And I didn't keep it all off! I gained back half a stone and it is frustrating to know that I have to redo that bit on top of everything else but it is just the price we pay when we go off track! And I know that if I didn't jump back on the wagon now I would have just gained back more! So I will take that 7 lbs as penance!

                            So good to see all you wonderful people! Thank you for checking in and telling me you remember me! It feels really nice!

                            I've made a plan (Outback Jess got me thinking about it!), I don't have holidays to deal with this week but my work week is just crazy. I'm in at 9 and don't stop until 8 until Tuesday and then have very late nights (midnight or after) for Wednesday and Thursday then back to 9-8 for Friday and Saturday and back to midnight for the following Monday! Ahh! So I made a plan-- I am going to take my lunch and snacks and extra food with me so that I'm not tempted to just run out and get something bad or eat some of the chocolate people have been circulating round the office. I'm walking to the train in the morning and afternoon to get in a bit of exercise and I've changed from the lift to the stairs (not just for this week for the walking and stairs though!). Also, I'm making sure I give myself some time here either in the morning or evening because it is so helpful. I think these are the things I need to do to make sure I make it through this week. Have other people made holiday plans?
