Thanks Amy for taking the time to post some nice words or encouragement. Im on day two and doing really good. My friends had pizza last night and I was thinking well i could start tomorrow but said NO... that has been my issue lately and tomorrow never comes. So I stod my ground and had a couple chicken wings and lots of water and I was good and didnt cheat. Yahhhhh.... I feel so good today for not cheating.

How are you doing Amy? Any tips or food suggestions? I always like to ear what others like to eat.

Good for you!! I know exactly what you mean thinking "I'll start tomorrow" I did that for weeks! And the problem is that you think that since you're about to start back you can have that extra piece of pizza or that extra helping of potatoes. Then just like you said, tomorrow doesn't come. I think that just realising that is such an important step! It was for me at least! I'm really happy for you that you did so well! And pizza with friends is hard to resist, you should feel so proud of yourself and empowered because you know you have control!

I'm doing well, thank you so much for asking! I'm just back about a week and a half now and I feel great. This past week was ridiculously hectic with work things and I was home after midnight most nights but I'm really proud of myself because I stayed completely on plan! I really geared up for this week because I knew it was going to be tough. It was actually really good for me because it showed me that I can stay in control even when it is hard and it reminded me of the importance of having a plan! Just like Outback Jess said-- having a plan is SO important!

As for food suggestions... I have a big salad every day with all kinds of yummy things in it (like a bit of pepperoni, toasted cheese, onion, peppers, etc). I LOVE the wonderful pepper poppers that Sherri told me about (peppers with cream cheese inside and wrapped in bacon...YUM!). I also make a lot of Faux-mbo. It is gumbo but without all the flour or rice so it is basically just a spicy soup full of vegetables, chicken and some filler-free sausage. I can't get enough! I also eat a lot of mushrooms and onions! Oh, and bell peppers stuffed with a meat, veggie and cheese mixture (usually just whatever veggies I have on hand). How about you? What are some of your favourites? I also like hearing what other people are eating- it always gives me ideas!

It sounds like you are doing so well, let us know how today has gone for you!

Re: Im back and going to do it this time...

Thanks ladies, Today was not good at all... I was out ALL day unexpected with my friends and our kids. I ended up eating some chicken and noodles from a fast food place. I feel so bad but Im not going to beat up myself and just drank lots of water and back on plan. I also didnt use it as an excuse to go crazy with the thinking Oh well I blew it so I just as well eat what i want now, pass the cookies and I will start tomorrow. lol They actually had cookies at there house but I didnt touch one.

Hmmmm as for food, well I like ham rolled in swiss baby cheese for a snack and celery and cream cheese too. I also like the chicken strips in the oven, very yummy... I find I get bored with some the same foods I eat but there easy and fast to go. I also boil eggs up and have on hand. I also like salads but it seems that salads always taste better when some one else makes them. lol Whats that about? lol...

It sounds like your doing really well Amy. Keep up the hard work and thanks for the kids words from you and Jessica.

Re: Im back and going to do it this time...

Yep girl, keep dusting off the mistakes and zero in on a new day, a great day and getting firmly and totally in control. Don't leave home again without a plan and a snack just in case the unexpected happens. When I dial it up, I have to treat it like soberity, and I stay clear of anything thing that would make me want to slip.
You know, avoid the food courts, don't grochery shop while hungry, never leave home with out a snack, keep foods ready to go and easy to reach for. Plan your exercise and execute! Stuff like that. I am sure you know yourself well, and know exactly where you will crumble!

Good for you for not using your little slip as a reason to go totally off track! That is really hard to do!

And you are right- salad ALWAYS tastes better when someone else makes it...in fact...most things taste better when I don't have to cook them!
