    Post Thanksgiving. Hopefully now we can return to the normal....probably not with the Christmas season so upon us.

    I've seen myself in the mirror and I do not like who I saw. I also faced myself in the mirror and am highly aware of what I can and cannot handle. I feel like I've again learned a great lesson. My lesson came last week. One day last week, when my low carbing cousin came to town and reminding me of all the things I've been giving up for endurance sports and sports nutrition. She spoke so highly of her life and energy and lack of hunger and ability to maintain good eating habits for herself.
    That was it. That was the night I stood in the mirror and dealt with myself.
    Never again will I allow an outside voice in to rearrange the truth. Surely all you need is moderation...something like that....

    I return to the awareness of what works and I will now work it. I will dial back exercise which I adore and find a balanced level of it....I am seeking to get back to that great balance I had 2 yrs ago right here.

    Morning Jess - sounds like a good plan x

    My husband is still stuck in Mumbai waiting for the Oberoi to allow him to collect his suitcase and passport. He is hoping to catch the 2am flight tomorrow morning.

    Apart from that worry, I am fine and right on track.

      Zara, we're all thinking of you and your husband right now! And way to go for staying on plan during this!!

      I'm doing well today- had a great breakfast of an omelet and bacon. How much do I love this WOE?! And then I went for a walk and got rained on! But it is ok because I'm down 3.5lbs! I'm only 1/2 a pound away from my second mini goal!

        Thanks Amy, just trying to define the journey that I am taking. It all brews deep inside and thank goodness for this place, where you can clear the air and admit to wrong turns, calculated turns that don't turn out and total loss of control. It all adds up and creates a personal picture that needs to be looked at. Then when that truth sinks in and someone pats you on the back and tells you, "it's ok, you can handle these grains and breads and whatever" You can smile back and remember when you in fact could not control those foods with great success!
        Just came in from walking the dogs on a cold winter's night here in Atlanta...
