    I'm just doing the best I can for today...(while I'm eating a breakfast bowl of scrambled eggs, Jimmy Dean sausage and cheese)

      Day 3 of detox....Yesterday was miserable....today is better. I am going to eat a bit more today, yesterday I was kinda sick to my stomach all day and then the lovely sugar detox headaches......

        Hang in there, Jess! Today is better than yesterday and tomorrow will be better than today!

        I'm feeling quite happy today! I stepped on the scale this morning to see that I am a whole 3 lbs below my 2nd mini goal! Hooray!!! I'm at 182 lbs now and feeling fantastic. All the good Atkins benefits are starting to kick in again- more energy, appetite suppresion and even better skin. Yay!!

          Yay! Amy - well done you!

          I have a headache from h$ll today. I am withdrawing from caffeine and yeast. It's going OK. I am not completely avoiding yeast but have cut out cheese, mushrooms, smoked foods, vinegar ummmm... and a few other things that I can't think of right now!

          This is day two so I am hoping I will feel much better tomorrow.

            Ooh, I'm sending soothing thoughts your way, Zara! I hope your headache goes away soon! Are you doing ok finding food choices that you can have without yeast? I've never tried to cut it out so I have no handy hints for you, but I know you can do it and after you do I'm sure you will feel much better!!

              Lets see. I'm back 2 days now (looks like 3 but I did not return to late evening my time) yesterday was hard for me too many goodies in the office and then at the parenting session parents giving me goodies to finish off their session. I have a bag of tamales I gave to my neighbor this morning. (to get them away from me).
              I knew coming back now was going to be hard for me and I thought of just starting in January but I need the help now, and in January through the year until I can say I've reached my ultimate goal.

              Today, I started off the day with some hot tea. Drank my water and ate a couple scrambled eggs and 2 slices of bacon. That was good.

                hey all!

                I've been really lazy about checking in. still on though, even though I've been so freaking stressed out that I'm starting to crave carbs (sugar and grains make me feel almost stoned). argh! I made it through my weekend trip without cheating though.

                this year it's going to be about making crafts, not cookies!

                      I'm on day 3 of induction and it is a struggle. Today is DD's birthday and she wanted a chocolate cake, so I had to make one and am glad to say I didn't even lick the beaters! If I can just hang on - I keep thinking how much better I feel when I don't have all the carbs in my system and the clothes I have that don't fit any more!

                          I'm here! Everything is going ok so far. The scales are moving, and I'm hitting ketosis, so I guess that's all I can really ask for.

                          I do have these weird urges I don't remember having before, but then maybe I'm just psychotic or something.... I'll be working and I'll be feeling fine, feeling full, then I'll suddenly think: Hey, I want a sandwich! Then I'll remember I can't have bread. And I'll be suddenly craving like a FIEND. :P However, when I sit and think about it a minute, I realize I'm not all that hungry to start. Please tell me this new discovery isn't going to last long? *_*
