  • 12-9 Roll Call

Hey STACers. I just absolutely LOVE low carbing. Once in the zone, food quiets down so much, and energy and ability to do anything rises up.
Carbs make me feel so sluggish, and not wanting to move, and that facilitates eating more and more of them, but once the food is quiet, and the zone reappears, you can live 24 hours and be proud of those hours!

I'm very proud of yesterday and am seeking to be proud of all the 24 hrs today!

    Re: 12-9 Roll Call

This is actually my third time around. When I was a working chef, any single WOE was difficult and it was hard to follow. But now that the economy sucks and I am at home, I find this WOE very easy and Jess is right, food quiets down.

I feel so good now. I wonder how long I had diabetes before I was diagnosed. My old 14-16 hour days in a hot kitchen masked my high blood sugar from the constant moving and sweating. But I wasn't feeling well.

Now, I feel great and I am losing weight and my blood sugar is always under control.

I am also in the zone!!!!!

Time to go lift weights, get big and strong.
"I'm big boned" ...Um, nobody has bones that big....

Buffalo wings, not just for breakfast anymore.

Hey baby, how do you like bald fat guys with no money?

Good morning, Jess! I'm glad you had a good 24 hours yesterday! I did too! I kicked up my exercise yesterday and I'm going to stick with it today (and tomorrow too!). It is my new mantra- make this 24 hours I can be proud of!! One of my co-workers brought in all kinds of Christmas goodies today and at first I thought "I can have a tiny bite and I know it won't throw me out of ketosis so I might as well..." but then I remembered that I want to be proud of every single bite that goes in my mouth today so I got a big glass of water instead!

      AND!!!

A wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles happened today! I have a pair of black trousers that I LOVE. They are a size 18 (UK) and even though I love them they are quite baggy now and I don't wear them often. I went to look for a replacement pair today and grabbed a size 16 to try on. In the dressing room I put them on and they not only zipped and buttoned but there wasn't even a muffin top. I still thought they were kind of snug but I thought about buying them because they are still wearable and certainly won't be too snug soon so when I looked at the tag to see how much they cost I noticed that I'd grabbed a size 14 by mistake!!! And the size 14's basically fit! This was way beyond my expectations!! Hooray! Just wanted to say-- this really works!!

Good morning all. I also had a great 24 hours that I am very proud of, scales still trending down. Congrats on the new size trousers Amy, that's a wonderful feeling, isn't it? This is my 7th day of induction, still right on track, it's really helping to have my husband doing this along side me. He gets excited about trying new recipes and cooking for this WOE. We are both in the zone, and loving it!

            Hello everyone!

I'm re-re-re-re-starting for the millionth time today. BUT I'm absolutely determined this time. The bf and I recently decided that we're going to go to Vegas for my birthday at the end of January. Which means I have even more of a reason to stick to this WOL and lose the weight I want to lose and feel better about myself.

I decided that I am going to try my hardest to lose at least 15 lbs. by Jan. 29th (the day we will be leaving). I'm pretty optimistic that I will lose the 15 and possibly more judging by the last time I did Atkins I lost 13 in 3 weeks so we'll see!! Wish me luck! I know I can do this.
