  • Roll Call 12-18

Seems alot going on with alot of people. Us included. I know in tough times, we have to stay focused and keep to the plans. I have clung to plans many times in my life to get me through.
Plan well, stick to it, and follow through! Then you will find as you look back that you were not crushed by the holidays, you defeated the food addictions!
Plan, plan, plan. You know the saying, "People who fail to plan, PLAN TO FAIL"

    Morning Jess and STACers

I was so close to cheating yesterday... with a slice of bread of all things. I stayed strong and didn't do it and boy am I glad today. The scales didn't reward me this morning - I was up 2.5 pounds! - I can only imagine it's water retention as I have not eaten anything different except for a slice of flax bread which I will eliminate - I didn't like it anyway....

I went and bought some new clothes today to wear over Christmas. The shop assistant picked stuff out for me that I wouldn't have looked at before and it was really nice. I ended up spending just over £200 but will feel confident and furthr spurred on to keep to plan.

Drinking lots of water and green tea today and trying to get my house looking ship shape whilst the kids are in bed having a nap. I am fed up with it being a mess.

      Re: Roll Call 12-18

Morning all. First 2 weeks over and down 9 pounds! I am finding it easier and easier to stay on plan. I had a great conversation with my husband the other night, about our goals, and how we are going to accomplish them. I want to lose 80 pounds, he wants to lose 50. I am counting right now on it taking at least a year, which I feel is realistic. We have both done this before, so the main focus of our conversation was about maintaining it this time. We just let it creep back over a few years, it wasn't anything fast.

My main goal is for good health, and I know that it's coming. I already feel better, more energy with this WOE. I will stay on plan through the holiday meals coming up next week, and it will be alright if I don't eat EVERYTHING on the table.

Hope everyone has a blessed day!

I'm still here! No cheats, but the scale has stopped moving. I'm at a weight right now I lingered at for quite a while, so I'm not so suprised. I've upped my water. I did notice I've lost inches. 1.5 inches from my waist, 2 from bust, 1 from hips. Not too shabby. Also, no breakouts along my jawline. Man, but I've missed clear skin! ^_^

Hi fellow STACers! Today is day 4 of induction for me. It's also the first day I've tested to see if I am in ketosis. Yep! Full blown ketosis status and very happy! I was curious to see how much I've lost and stepped on the scale. I'm down 5.5 pounds! It's not an extreme amount, but I also have water retention at the moment. I had breakfast yesterday with my husband at a Turkish cafe. I had the egg and white cheese omelet and DH had a toasted sandwich and a typical Turkish pastry with spinach. I was SO tempted to take a bite, or two! But I quickly came to my senses and decided it would only make me feel guilty and hurt me in the long run. I'm actually proud of myself for having the will power!

I'm currently going through a rough patch with my 10 month old. She's constantly getting sick. This week it's the stomach virus. There was an outbreak at my gym's day care last week, and I guess the "bug" is still going around. I'm glad she's feeling better today, but I will have to pretty much skip on the gym for at least another week, since she is still actively contagious for that period of time.

Stay strong, stay on plan and keep up the great work!

Congrats on passing up the bread, Zara, and on the new clothes! Nothing makes you feel better than nice clothes that fit well. I was just shopping too and bought myself a beautiful, expensive coat with a fur-lined hood (fake, of course , I wouldn't buy the real stuff) and it feels so good. Quality matters!

I hope everyone had a great day!
