  • My Introduction!!

I'm back. I'm also at my heaviest weight ever.

I've never been so depressed about my weight! I've gone out of control and I feel like I am at a 'hopeless' point - The stage where even if I lost a significant amount of weight, I'd still be overweight, I'd STILL have a SIGNIFICANT amount of weight to lose! Its like staring at a huge mountain and wanting to reach the top....
I'm turning 30 and all I can think about is broken promises I made to myself in my 20's..."I'll be at my healthy weight in 6 months...in 8 months..by next year". Well, that didn't happen all to often, and when it did, it was short-lived.

So, call it a New Year resolution, or maybe a realization...I can't go on like this, I no longer have 'youth on my side' It's time to change.
I am going to go on Induction.
I decided that today, I planned a menu.
Tonight I will go through my kitchen and remove temptations. Tomorrow I will do my shopping and set up my fitday account.

I want to start NOW, but ya know something...there isn't even an egg in the house! Plenty of chocolates though...

So I'll be back tomorrow, I'll let ya all know how its going, my stats, everything.

Wishing you all the best New Year....

      Welcome back!

I really (completely) understand the age thing because I've said it myself and believed the fable of "it gets harder to lose weight after you turn 30". I'm over 30 (fastly approaching 40) and healthier than I was in highschool. Stay focused and start fresh from here with your new stats at this time in your life.

Can't wait to hear about your progress!

        Re: My Introduction!!

I always think back and say "Why didn't I do this x years ago" but that time is past. All you can do is work in the now.

What a great 30th birthday present to yourself!
And it's a great goal to set, gives you a time to reach for a goal, great for motivation.

Everyone needs a goal to stay focused! Go for it!!
"I'm big boned" ...Um, nobody has bones that big....

Buffalo wings, not just for breakfast anymore.

Hey baby, how do you like bald fat guys with no money?

          Thanks everyone

I am in a much better mood today than yesterday (I was a little down) but I am actually pretty excited about this now.

I am starting the first, not much of a drinker, but I intend to go out New Years eve.

Ive cut coffee and diet coke for the time being, I guess its just easier for me to do it slowly than have the headaches and withdrawls

          Thanks for your support, everyone!
